    Hey Piq!

Sorry to hear about the electricity - how frustrating

How much are you paying for your pots? Mr T's has got an offer on for 5 medium-ish (sorry didn't look at the actual size) terracotta pots for £5 - not bad?

    Hi Piq, (de-lurks)

I've been bobbing in and out of your diary when i have chance - just got a final piece of ou work to do  so not much time. Anywho's just wanted to say massive congrats on setting up your own business - i did this also following redundancy and i know exactly what you mean about the pricing of goods/services - it is hard but you will get there - there are usually free courses run by the council if that was anything you were interested in although you seem to be doing fine and apologies if its been mentioned and i've missed it :o

But - i'm rambling! Its the ou panic! Sorry! - Cost of postage - i have absolutely no idea / not checked them out etc. but have heard tell of courier services which are a fixed cost i *think* and am sure you'll find details if you google etc. Or maybe the bay of e thread will help? May be worth looking into if the weight / size isn't taken into consideration.

Also i have done a couple of carboots and been to loads - the potted plant sellers - with hanging baskets as well as pots seem to do very well at these if they are well priced.

And i think i may have somewhere a very small - and i mean small trowel type things - think of a longer handled fork for eating or a chopstick length these are for small work such as seeds i'd imagine (?) if my mum hasn't given them away you're welcome to them - they are a good quality.

Your story of the captain breathing you in was lovely and nearly made me cry :o

Sorry for the rambling post but i have been meaning to pop in and say hi. One thing i didn't look into as i should have was working tax credits - once the business picked up and i was doing alot of hours - and a number of those unpaid - marketing, meeting clients etc.

Oh and no horses here but i love cats - if i'd not been made redundant :( we were going to get a new door complete with catflap and a cat of our own rather than just having the neighbourhood ones visit on occasion :D

I've not read recently but really thought i should post by now :o and sorry if everything i've put is stuff you already know :o

The lights are on, well, at least the electric ones! Not so sure about the mental lights today. I am tired, very tired and I'm going to bed very shortly.

The power came back about three in the morning, but I hadn't been able to sleep, worrying about whether I'd left something important, dangerous or expensive switched on.

So I'm going to make my excuses and promise a proper update tomorrow but not before welcoming DedicatedDFW and saying thanks to robin for the lovely story. Although I had no idea of the number to call about the powercut I did check the fuse box and have a look down the road to see if any lights were on in any other houses [they weren't]

I'm probably not making much sense, a long day at Pr£t, no sleep and a very physical day digging yesterday has done me in [oh sounds a bit Eliza Doolittle :rotfl:]

Love to you all until tomorrow

Piq my lovely, on the freebies board there are free seeds......for bee friendly plants, if you could send for some and get friends to send off on your bee half... - perhaps some bee themed pots with save the bee plants in- would be a lovely eco pot for small gardens or do window boxes etc, just as bees have been in the news it might be a nice theme for any country fetes or anything - oh listen to me going on about rot!

Now look what you've made me go and do....brilliant, brilliant idea, thank you!

I need to tidy up the writing, told you I wasn't very good at script :o
