Congratulations!! Irresistibly cute I'm sure. So, the piquant menageries grows larger!

So, the onsie isn't just for the house then? :rotfl:It's now in the garden, you're just a step away from popping out to the local shop you know:rotfl:

Lol, funny you should say that, my DD asked me if I fancied walking the dog with her but as I was in my onesie I declined......she did say I could go out in it! :rotfl:

Will you be posting a picture of the pots for us to have a look at? :D

:D aah your DS2 is a star - I suspect you are very independent and tricky to help but he seems to have the knack ;). Take care, Teapot;)

the potting bench sounds fab! I really miss having a garden, once the hubby and I pay off the debt we're saving to buy a place of our own with a garden and I can get back to growing veg and pretty things :)

Colin has found a sunny spot out of the wind and cold in the garden and is sunbathing. Shame it's just where the delphiniums are coming up....

    WERE coming up? :rotfl:

The sun is out and is predicted to reach the balmy heights of 7 degrees. What shall I do? Catch up in the garden or go to work? Oh yes, work it is. I don't normally work a Saturday, but I'm up there on the rota for today. I've also noticed that someone can't add up and has put me down for 17 hours this week, but still totaled them up to 15.5  meaning I work for free for an hour and a half. I don't think so.....Still haven't had my messed up wages from the other week sorted out either:(

On a good note, I won the outstanding award again, named and shamed by the mystery shopper :j meaning a £50 bonus :j

I've finished the potting bench, just need to tidy it up and sweep up round where it's going. I love my blue bench :rotfl:

...and yesterday I made a gecko! I plan to have him climbing up a large pot in the garden. I covered a paper mache gecko with decoupage, it took ages and I loved every minute of it, sad, I know. He is green with a red stripe down his back. Naturally I then used my iridescent paint so he shimmers. All that is left now is to varnish him. He will appear on the potting bench photo shoot with the painted pots.

I must get ready for work, really don't want to go. Saturday will be hell :( I will try to catch up with you all later.

Oh forgot to add that I met a friend for coffee on Thursday and she is quite crafty. I'm hoping to share a craft stall with her, so I'd better get on with the pots! Also a customer at Pr£t went away and found out all the details of a charity run craft shop for me. I was astonished at how kind and helpful people you hardly know can be. Basically, you pay a one off fee of £5 and they will sell and display your crafts. Then they take 15% of the sale price. I will probably put a few in there, just to see if they sell.

I wish the weather would turn into spring as I need my seedlings to grow into plants for the pots. The pots will look so much better planted up with co-ordinated plants :D

Wee Piq, it certainly sounds as if you are enjoying your new project - great to read this post. Ideas abound... and I'm certainly looking forward to seeing the photos.
It is so heartwarming to hear of all the opportunities that are arising and that small, passing conversations lead on to these new projects, craft venues and contacts.
And bonus by being the outstanding member of staff - something we all knew anyway - but lovely to be rewarded for it as well!!
    So pleased for you, Piq

  • :hello: hey neighbour :)

I have returned from my extended MSE absence, dragged back by a concerned NewLeaf. Lots of family tragedy and drama that I can't share on here, but latest catastrophe is I am shortly to be out of work, losing two thirds of our household income, and still with £49k debt outstanding. Detail here of current situation.

Hope you'll come back to my diary and be the annoying neighbour you promised to be! I hadn't realised how much i had missed you all till I came back and started reading diaries again. :(

I love the sound of your pots; cant wait to see a fotie!
