Glad to hear you're feeling better Piq.
Didn't mean to make a suggestion you'd find upsetting - sorry!
..Just thought it might be a good way of gathering a decent stake without incurring debt.0 -

It didn't upset me as of such. It made me think, very unusual!
It's a fantastic idea and I have sent off for an application form, the online form doesn't seem to be working, or I've applied about ten times
I just realised I don't want to leave the cat for any length of time. At the moment he is my anchor in hard times, I have to attend to his needs, even if he thinks he's landed in a 24/7 restaurant. He's the only company I have and it would appear I have magically transformed into sad cat lady :rotfl:
I am touched by the interest and wonderful ideas you put my way robin, thank you.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Yikes it's windy out there!
Several pots are over and the front of the composter looks like it's missing. However, I'm not frightening the neighbours by going out in my dressing gown. I will look like Batman with it flapping behind me :rotfl:
Another exciting day looms. I have to pick up my tablets from the doctors. Whilst I'm out I'll pick up some milk, that will be my foray into the world over for another day.
The Captain sent me an email last night, telling me he misses me and keeps shouting at the gate for me. He also added that his babysitter gives him a carrot when he shouts too loudly and he shuts upToday he's going into the field with Noah and if he behaves they can stay together. They've been sharing boy kisses over the fence, so fingers crossed it works out.

Morning Piq I'm delurking. It must be so hard to be separated from the Captain at the moment so glad you have Colin. My two cats have kept me sane through an acrimonious divorce, two bereavements and especially the last 18 months since my dad passed away, I had to give up my job in London and move to look after my Mum who is Bedbound and has dementia. Wouldn't be without my Alfie and (annoying) Murray because he seems to have a bottomless stomach. Just sending you my very best wishes. Off give Mum a wash and wait for the Tesco delivery. Highlight of my week I always order a Jam doughnut and it's always reduced to 10p!! Lol Suz and the moggies xxx:eek0

Only a mad person would go out in their dressing gown, today?
Personally, i can't get out of my door, as the snowdrift is piled all the way up the door.:rotfl:
Predicted snow and blizzards have arrived, (the blizzard making the snow ten times worse.)
Appointment has had to be cancelled. The flip side of that is, they've just rung me, instead.
Have a good day. xDebt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

A superhero gardener with a winceyette onsie and a dressing gown instead of a cape.
Now thats an angle no one else will have.
(i am merely painting a picture and I have no idea if you own a winceyette onsie! I would love one !)Trying to shift that debt!0 -
I love the sound of Noah. He sounds ace.
My little boy goes to a nearby farm with his childminder, and there is a characterful shetland pony there called Mrs Pickles. She has crazy voodoo eyes like Pinot. (haha) she nips the adults and nuzzles the children and mothers this ginormous horse who is called Freddie and generally bullies him.
She is ace! All horses should have a Noah or Mrs Pickes as a freind!Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Glad the Captain is settled enough to be able to send you emails. Sorry you are missing him so much though. Hopefully it'll be a short term solution for you with good things to come.
Sorry to hear you've been poorly but glad you are better now
Love the YO plant story, perhaps it'll reward him aptly for his bad behaviour
Gosh it really is blowy out, isn't it. My door keeps knocking and I think it may be Mr Postie bringing me something rather pleasant and then discover its Mr Wind instead. All very disappointing
Even Dear Dot surely wouldn't venture out in nightwear today

Morning so pleased the Captain is firmly stamping (or should that be neighing) his authority on the underlings for carrot consumption.
We await the wind, rain, hail, snow, sleet whatever here ..... let's hope Londinium copes it firstHaving said that it's picking up here now so stand by your beds folks we are entering wild west mode!
Piq I think any items that have succumbed to the wind can come to no further harm for the time it takes to get oneself into something other than PJ's and dressing gowns. Where ever it has blown to a more effective repair with gaffer tape, hammers, cable ties all being wielded by an attired person.
