Stay warm ani and nurse those seedlings. Allegedly we will get snow tonight. Personally, I'm hoping the snow's sat nav is broken and it misses here entirely.

    Don't worry, i'm sending..........

The forecast snow has arrived three hours early already the garden is covered, the paths and roads are beginning to get a fair dusting of it too.

SENT, the snow, down? to you.......:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

This is, arguably, worst snow of the winter, so far. I didn't make any contingency plans, (food shopping,) for being snowed in, ( which i now am.) Never mind. I've managed to build my store cupboards, and i've just managed the trek, ( for me,) to the local shop, and bought the last but one, loaf of bread. It doesn't look as though they are having a delivery today. :o

The snow is just incredible today. I can't find my neighbours telephone number, to tell them to be careful when they open their door. Nor can i get to their door. :rotfl:It's piled at least 6 ft high, ( no kidding,) against their door, then there's another pile even higher, in their porch. Luckily, ( for me,) the wind seems to have changed direction during the night, and my snowdrift against the door, isn't quite as bad, although it still falls in, when you open the door. :rotfl: No trace of my plants, in my porch. :rotfl:

The worrying fact is, all this snow has to melt. :o

S*d the cost of the heating. Looks like i'm receiving another cold weather payment. :) I had the heating on all day yesterday, and overnight, and i'll probably leave it on, all day today. I've got the thermostat, very low. I'm still freezing cold, even with the heating on, layers of clothes, etc etc. :o

Cant believe the great onesie debate is raging over here on this thread also !

The whole loo situation is a concern particularly in the middle of the night I am assured by the girls, but I don't own one either. I did nearly succumb last week with no heating though I must confess.:o

So glad to hear about Captain and his boy kisses, he sounds happy and very well loved by his babysitter.

Good luck with your list today Piq. Keep warm and toasty xx

    Thanks beanie. xx

I don't think anyone has ventured out around here, today. Except my neighbour, who cleared the snowdrifts covering our front doors. Apparently the snow was coming in through their letterbox. :rotfl:My neighbour on the other side, is on the end, and they are taking the full force of the blizzards, and apparently their door was completely covered / hidden by snowdrift. Somewhat dangerous? My door is free of snow now, but is still covered in a layer of ice. Unbelievable.

Thanks for the snow ani - not! :rotfl:

Miserable day here and cold :(

What have I achieved? Not an awful lot. I burnt the bread. Well not exactly burnt, more forgot to add the water......burnt flour anyone? I have no idea where my head was when throwing the ingredients into the breadmaker! So soup for lunch without bread :D

Hoover and washed floors, dusted where applicable. After cleaning the kitchen I potted up some seedlings - duh ;) Then I cleaned the kitchen again :D I ran out of pots so got some tin cans out the recycling, punched holes in the bottoms and have used them. I've sown tomato seeds in egg boxes and chilli seeds in yogurt pots. Not stylish but hopefully it will work.

I'm glad I put seeds out for the birds this morning, there have been loads, I've seen chaffinches, a robin, house and hedge sparrows, a jay, Mr and Mrs blackbird, long tailed finches, great tits and blue tits, ring necked doves and two ginormous pigeons [not so keen on them] colin's ornithology skills are coming on in leaps and bounds. He did try to to eat the seeds on the ground, stopped when I shouted at him :rotfl:

I think I deserve dumplings with my dinner tonight and a hearty glass of red.
