Hope you enjoyed your dumplings and red wine?

Just think, you could have dumplings in red wine? :rotfl:

Well, all that talk of dumplings, i was going to make a veggie stew and dumplings myself, yesterday, but when it came to it, i was too exhausted, so i had a jacket potato, instead.

Today, i will prepare the stew, ( lentils, pulses, veg and dumplings,) before i get beyond the point of no return, namely, running out of energy.

ps - it's snowing for the fourth consecutive day. :(

I wonder if there's chance to sneak in another cold weather payment before the 31st march, which is when the payments are supposed to end. The weather is forecast to continue like this, until easter. :o

Aha - this comment suggests you do have experience of using one of these devices, Igamogam? ..Sooo, would you say that it's an effective solution?

Must say the idea tickles me; would love to freak out all the blokes at parties by lining up alongside 'em facing a handy tree, rather than having to queue for an overused loo.. :p

Yes, you get a virtual rosette ! Well done! This diary is getting too big. I'll have to think about starting a new one. I think there's a 5000 post limit.

No, I don't like bits in my wine! Plus the glass extended well into the evening. The dumplings didn't...

I have a "Whiz Freedom" but I've never needed to use it, and with my mobility much restricted these days the chance of my now doing so is unlikely. Still, one never knows!

Has anyone noticed that since we decided I was going to start up a little gardening business that the weather has been appalling?

I've done very little today, too cold outside. I've topped up the birds feeders and again have a garden full of all sorts of feathered friends. I'm hoping they will pay me back in the summer by eating all the slugs, snails and greenfly. That would be fair :D

At least an hour has been spent with pieces of broken pottery trying to make a sign for 'grasp the nettle' I thought it would look good as a photo peeping out of a flower bed or a pile of snow.... It's not looking as it does in my head yet, so I'm having a break to warm my fingers up.

My local village shop doesn't do notices  The chap was quite smug about it too. His loss. I'll have to take them further afield later in the week. I don't suppose anyone wants a gardener this week anyway.

Back to work at Pr£t tomorrow, hopefully, I can sort out my messed up pay. One of the customers there has offered to put flyers through doors for me. Very kind of her. First of all I've got to get some flyers done though.

Wilted courgette pea and parmesan pasta for dinner tonight. I'll saute the courgette in lemon butter and black pepper, then toss it through the pasta with the cheese and peas. I think it will be quite nice.
