So poor I can't even pay attention

:rotfl::rotfl: I missed replying to this yesterday, sorry. This is the funniest scene ever, why on earth didn't you do dressage during the cross country, I can tell that you could have done it on a steep slope!
The Captain is capable of dressage, actually when he wants to he's very good. We entered a test and he was brilliant, I know he was. The judge said.....Although he was technically perfect, he's a gypsy horse, he's made to pull caravans, they don't belong in dressage

Hmmm, poster too thick to operate....the multi-quote thing didn't work!
No matter, Noo don't worry on the Captain's account, he's won a few ribbons for dressage, he's only let down by his rider! He's such a show-off it wouldn't occur to him that someone thought he should be pulling a caravan.
....I'd like to see someone try, the caravan would be reversing down the road being pushing by a irate Captain, with his bottom, boy, can my horse go backwards when he has a mind to!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Now.......... I'm still learning about all things horsey, I am learning to love them ,as my DD2 is horse mad, so I need to brush up on my horsey skills. Reading your diary is going to become my new instruction manual of which I can pass on my newfound wealth of knowledge and impress DD2 into the bargain, and she will have no idea how I know so much !! I had to stop myself telling her the story of the Captain and the underpants from ages go though, I found it so funny and thought she would love it, but I know she will ask me a thousand questions as to whose horse it was and when they told me the story and can she go and visit the horse, etc etc and of course I dont know you and never will and I'mm not quite sure I can be doing with explaining all about this forum to her !!!!
I have to do the one about the Captain and the know-it-all, it's a shocker and very funny!
Pinot, I lurk around your diary too, I sometimes feel a bit shy at joining in a very established group on a diary, silly or what?
Never say never, we may meet up one day and then your daughter can ride the Captain, he loves little girls, very gentle.

Missrir - I just love the sound of Gorgeous George, plenty of character and good at putting people in their place - good on him!

I've just remembered why I logged in  A very senior moment there....
My cv has been sent off to the end client, it's one step nearer than I normally get. Unfortunately, it's a quite a way to travel, but beggars and all that. Actually, I'm jumping the gun, they may not be interested in me.
Out of the eight jobs I have applied for this week, that is the only one that I have had any response from. The agencies have no idea how their lack of manners affects the morale of the job hunter. It is not hard to set up a template that says a nice 'thanks but no thanks' response.

Dear diary
It was boring, but I have done the housework. I have made a mental note that the windows need cleaning - Test/Experiment/Research - How long will it take me to actually do them?
All I have left to do is the bathroom and I will tackle that after I've been to see the Captain, we have a lesson booked for 2:00pm, he normally enjoys a lesson, big chance to show-off for the instructor!
Man pet over for dinner, he's getting leek and potato pie. I've made my own pastry, it's currently resting in the fridge. I'm very proud of it! Cheapest meal ever and made up almost entirely of bits and pieces left in the fridge. I found some lemon sorbet in the freezer. I'll see if I can get some reduced raspberries from the supermarket for a sauce, if I can't, I'll wander around it for some economical inspiration.
Amazon have sent an email to say a payment's on it's way, it won't be much, but better than nothing.
