:rotfl::rotfl: I missed replying to this yesterday, sorry. This is the funniest scene ever, why on earth didn't you do dressage during the cross country, I can tell that you could have done it on a steep slope!

The Captain is capable of dressage, actually when he wants to he's very good. We entered a test and he was brilliant, I know he was. The judge said.....Although he was technically perfect, he's a gypsy horse, he's made to pull caravans, they don't belong in dressage

    Piq

That is shocking! How bl**dy rude! Up my way there are lots of cobs doing dressage and very well too and they (dressage fundi's) wonder why dressage has a bad name. My favourite and most common is when horse learns to relax - better marks will follow :D (you dont say) lol. I only do it on her as she is not toooo bad on a good day we have scored 72% but on a bad day a whopping 44% but I hurt my back a few years ago and so cant really (not supposed to) jump anymore.

I hope something comes of the jobs you are applying for x

Oh yes the dressage score sheet that read
    half pass - NOT required
    canter pirouette - NOT required
    extended trot - NOT required
1 tempe changes - NOT required
Leaving the arena before test completed - elimination
Comments "the athleticism shown when jumping the bonnet of my car cannot be denied, and the engagement of the hocks when performing the NOT required movements was evident. Dressage is based on control and accuracy, which was conspicuous in it's absence. I recommend more training with a Club instructor on a one to one basis to aid in this matter."

He was perfectly capable of dressage, but only when it was followed by a steeple chase and or cross country session. :rotfl:

    Love it lol :rotfl:

Sorry I dont know how to multi-quote :o

Noonar - well done on the weightloss. Hopefully your redundancy package will be decent and you find something to do with teaching - sometimes these things happen for reason and this might be your chance to change your direction.

My old horse loves snuggles I always know when I am feeling down I can go cuddle with him. x

I have no idea how to do multi-quotes either, that's why I have so many entries on my diary!

I do worry about missrir going down to the gym. I'm sure gyms are not good for you, there always seems to be a smell of feet about the place. And as for the women walking round the changing room naked, I never know where to look. You certainly don't want to be sitting down putting on your shoes and lifting your head to come face to face with a naked bum....or worse:eek:

I have just applied for the two jobs I set aside yesterday I]read that as ran out of enthusiasm[/I and found one other to apply for later.

STOP PRESS: someone has called about my application that I sent off ten minutes ago. I have to go and look at the details that are being sent over.....bye.....all of a dither.....

Still been lurking here Piquant and not posting, but just caught up with your last few days. Must agree with brizzled, your stories would make a great book, they have had me in stitches , especially the job centre !:rotfl:

Now.......... I'm still learning about all things horsey, I am learning to love them ,as my DD2 is horse mad, so I need to brush up on my horsey skills. Reading your diary is going to become my new instruction manual of which I can pass on my newfound wealth of knowledge and impress DD2 into the bargain, and she will have no idea how I know so much !! I had to stop myself telling her the story of the Captain and the underpants from ages go though, I found it so funny and thought she would love it, but I know she will ask me a thousand questions as to whose horse it was and when they told me the story and can she go and visit the horse, etc etc and of course I dont know you and never will and I'mm not quite sure I can be doing with explaining all about this forum to her !!!! :D

Someone explained to me yesterday over on my diary how to multi quote as I had been trying to do the same thing without success. I will go back and read it in a minute then copy and paste it for you. I havent actually tried it yet myself thoughx

    Here it is !!

Hi PG, just select the text you want to quote and copy it to your clipboard, place the cursor in the reply box and click the QUOTE button (the one that looks a bit like a speech bubble above) then paste your previously copied text between the [.QUOTE] paste your text here [/QUOTE] boxes. Easy peasy! Hope this makes sense.:D

Hello all - gym is OK I avoid the changing rooms as it is less than a mile from home so just get back home and de-smell in the privacy of my own bathroom.

My lovely boss has some serious dressage horses, he also breeds them as well as formerly competing them internationally so I get to go and dribble over beautiful prancing ponies. he was regaling me with the story of his latest protegee - who could not get his hooves around a flying change, only to end up in an argument about shoulder-in and producing an entire dressage arena's long side of 2 tempe changes perfectly!

Gym session was good, but tough, my life you will get a butt to crack walnuts with doing her class. The funnies thing is that is used to be the time for the Pilates class and although that changed in January there are still people who have not looked at the changed timetable turning up and getting a bit of shock when its not gentle and slow but more bouncing and calorie burn.

No gym this weekend as have to sort out house from old tenant (grrr)

To add to the Gorgeous George and Dressage fiasco I once had a lesson with Jenny Lorriston-Clarke - he would not do what I was (trying) to ask him, so she got on him. After a couple of rounds of the arena and a mulish expression she dismounted and stated "he is clearly a one person horse, let's go for a hack to improve his mental outlook".
