Oh bah humbug about all redundancy news, early hoping there is a good package for you and you get the courage to speak to your DH / OH about the debt situation.

Re an outline, baldy didnt do outlines, if he was going fast it was head up in the air trying to avoid the bit, a martingale helped a wee bit! Or if walking he did a great "hoover" outline where his head was down constantly on the floor

I've been to the job centre and what an exciting time I had.

I took missrir's advice and smiled a lot, this was a successful tactic as the girl noticed and commented that with such a smiley and positive outlook I wouldn't have any difficulty getting a job. Does this mean I should put smiley faces all over my cv?

I didn't have a chance to ask about the smiley faces on the cv, because a fight broke out between two young men. I have learned a few new words for my vocabulary and now know how to effectively hit someone with an empty beer can. I suppose there is a rule about drinking the beer first, I must investigate. After all I am new at the job centre and don't know all the protocols yet.

Security were called and most of us were asked to leave, they didn't even give me money for a coffee - shocked! I may suffer trauma...I may even use the event for my assignment article.

Can't wait to use the new skills innit? (new word, has to appear at the end of a sentence with question mark regardless...) Unfortunately, I can't use the majority of the new words here. To be truthful, I'm not sure of the meaning of some of them, although I don't think many are flattering!

I thought I'd substitute a bottle of orange squash for the can of beer, I don't like beer, the smell lingers for ages and it is a nightmare to wash out of clothes. I'm not prepared to waste wine, so am not considering substituting a bottle for any interviews at the Job Centre.

at least the job centre was a little more exciting than normal,

bah re redundancy, the whole of my industry is due for a shake up at the end of the year due to the lovely govenrment ploughing on with the Green Deal, not sure why we have to change something else that is working perfectly well, but end of the year and beginning of next will be a bit scary. The thought is already lingering with me for longer than it should probably.

My great huge lump of a baby girl, wouldn't do anything properly at home, a proper pain in the rear, but get her on a show ground and she floated.....always came home with a smile, the others on the yard didn't believe it to start with.

Nowt stranger than a neddy with a brain. :D

Redundancy seems to hit more of us than ever these days, or was it that I just didn't notice? I hope the Job Centre will put on entertainment every week, I might start to enjoy going....

The Captain is the biggest show-off imaginable in the show-ring. There is no stopping him, literally. He was the only veteran galloping around the judges, whilst the others tottered round on zimmer frames. He always gets a ribbon, I have a horrible suspicion that he'd mug the judge for one even if he wasn't awarded one! He adores being the centre of attention and prances round as if he was one of the Lippazaner dancing horses (we will ignore the fact that he's a hairy piebald gypsy cob with stocky legs and a huge bum!)
