Oh no sedation, they always seem to over egg it and don't given them long enough to get over the ishew of being jabbed and stop fighting the wooziness before being "dealt' with.

Hope the Captain and his mate are both fine. I know where you are coming from on the jobs front, the ones I have found are all ring fenced for NHS and CS staff under threat! Blinking unfair I say.

Can you bottle the smell from your kitchen and send it over, I can vicariously munch cake that way. Really hope something comes along soon for you, could be some last minute before Christmas events taking place, we are all rooting for you.

Chin up and hope the fingers and toes come back to life.

Hello my dear, thought I'd pop in as I've been missing for a while. Glad to hear that your moat has disappeared and you survived the floods. Saw this and it made me think of both Colin and the Bear.

That was a much longer and colder afternoon than anticipated.

The vet was nearly two hours late, which meant just hanging round a yard at zero degrees with an immaculately groomed horse continually whinging because he hadn't had his dinner :( I lost contact with my toes quite early in the afternoon. My friend and I joined the whinging, but about vets and tardiness rather than dinner as we at least had cake and coffee.

The vet tried to do the Captain's teeth without sedation, but as he said from the corner he had been wedged in by the Captain's @rse, it might be better to take the edge off his negative feelings towards the dentistry :rotfl:I was very helpful and pointed out the vet was at the wrong end for dentistry. Bloomin' serves him right for being late, keeping the Captain hungry and me cold....

Then of course I had to hang round until the sedation wore off. Ah the joys of an outdoor pet!

A hot bath was the order of the night, followed by jacket potato, cheese and beans. Absolutely no urge to cook by then. Funny how doing nothing and getting cold removes all motivation and makes you very tired.

I need to get ready for work now, so I'll be back later. I think today is going to be horrible. Full on with Christmas shoppers and a Saturday :(
