Lemon yoghurt..what a good idea! Will try some of that!
Also having problems with NSDs, Piq, but had one today. Some of it is that I only count it as a NSD if no money at all gets spent by OH or I..means I get about 2 a month if I am lucky. Otherwise I prefer to count LSDs!!

Just nearly laughed out loud in the office reading Colin the Cat stories - you could make a book of these!
I make Butternut Squash soup in the same way but with Garam Masala sprinkled over before I roast it. I've not tried with chilli though so I'm going to try that! I have a squash sitting in my veg drawer at the moment so I know what that will be turned into tomorrow night...
I made Limoncello as part of a friends' wedding present in August. That went down very well and it's fairly reasonably priced. You don't need expensive vodka as the lemon and sugar steeped in it add a rich flavour. I almost spent more on the bottles.
I will dig out the recipe if you'd like it? I'm planning to make a batch this Christmas, along with tomato and apple chutney."Does it spark joy?" - Marie Kondo

...and here I am back again! I've been a busy bee gardening.
I've tidied, pruned, divided and weeded a garden and earned £60 The lady insisted on paying me £12 an hour as it is the rate she had been quoted by someone who hadn't turned up. Hard work, but extra money. It's a shame it's so late in the year I could easily do a few hours gardening a week. I'm going to think about it.
The lady also let me have several of the divided plants, so I now have some Coreopsis, Canterbury Bells, Heuchera and a purple Penstemon :T and I got a cheese sandwich made for me, as well as too much coffee [I had to pour it on the garden when she wasn't looking :rotfl:]
Colin's diet is going well, he is losing weight simply because he refuses to eat the expensive cat food. He likes the expensive dry cat food but not the wet. I think I'll keep him on the new dry and put him back on the wet food he likes, but only two meals a day, rather than the six he was havingColin is currently writing a catmail to complain to the shelter about lack of sustenance....
A NSD today :j I'm finding it hard to get the four in a row that I committed to though. Maybe this time as I'm working at Pr£t for the next two days and will have meals there.
I've made a batch of spicy parsnip soup, very nice. I took half of it over to my Dad as he loves parsnips. However, Mum hates them and won't cook them for him :rotfl:
Yesterday I spent £17.28 on the weekly shop, this included some store cupboard ingredients such as flour, suet [for dumplings - yum!] sultanas and pinenuts. A very good spend, apart from milk I shouldn't need anything else until next Wednesday.
Tonight I'm making a double portion of sweet potato and watercress risotto, an unusual combination but I think it will work. I'll report back on it later.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Crikey TWO meals a day. I am glad our Big Boy is not curled up in front of monitor reading this - our cats get 1 meal a day ( 100g wet food pouch) and the recommended amount of expensive biscuits a day and the rest they have to catch and Big Boy is at the top end of his weight chart! When it comes to dry food they are I am cats of course;) and will not even sniff at anything else - in fact they 'bury' it. Many years ago we had 3 cats they had one tin between them per day. We only switched to pouches cos I was fed up of finding tins third full of festering cat food in the fridge:eek:
So I am not going to tell them of the rich picking at Colin'scos they would be packing their little red spotted hankies and heading off south:rotfl::rotfl:Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi
