Hiya Piq,
I just love Colin, I think you should keep the name - he looks lovely, a proper snuggly kitty cat, I just hope he doesnt have too many of Bears homicidal instincts, although I think if he did, it will be fun when you regale us of tales of what he has brought you!
I've been making your Banana Bread this weekend (amongst other things) and now my back is aching so I feel your pain (although it's in a different part of my body). Oh the Captain is a funny ole sole. Bless him, but good on ya for being the boss and making him go the way that you wanted him to.
OOOhhh nice wine from your DP's, and beans - yummy.
I'll leave you for now- looking forward to the next update.

He has such a beautiful wee face. And I think Colin is a fab name for a cat. Suggests parentage of great humour and not afraid to go against the grain with cat names. It's almost as if YOU could have name him!
I'm sure The Bear won't mind, as he knows how much love you have to give to a wee kitty and now he doesn't have to worry that you might burst from holding it all in.
Will Colin have his own diary? I bet he's got lots of stories of his adventures up till now and all the adventures he's going to have in his new home.0 -

Hello Colin Cat:)

I'm glad you're all pleased to meet Colin. I'm still whispering the name, still not sure it's a cat name, but, yes, I am keeping it. Although I'm not sure about calling him in of an evening. I suppose it will keep the neighbours guessing who Colin is and why he keeps running away....I imagine someone somewhere will think he's my husband gone awol :rotfl:
Still feel a bit disloyal to the Bear, especially as he's not home yet. The sanctuary had 300 cats to find homes for, so I feel good that just one is safe now. However, I have lots of snowdrop bulbs, apricot tulips and huge alliums ready for his milk churn. My mum is supplying some very scented pinks and a lavender and I'm going to get some hearts-ease winter pansies. This way the Bear will have flowers all year. The lad who works down at the yard where the Captain lives has given me a beautiful oval flat stone for me to paint with the Bear's name, that was so kind of him!
So tomorrow is the day. I've washed all the Bear's beds and mats. Prepared the litter tryay [not looking forward to that bit ]I'm not buying anything new, hardly mse or necessary. I even have cat bowls that belonged to Einstein the cat who lived with the family before the Bear, so a cat heirloom....
I expect he'll keep a diary for a while, just while he settles in....Although the Bear's diary was for me to track how he was. I was worried I would kid myself he was okay when he wasn't. But it happened that I knew anyway.
With regards to the rest of my life..... the mortgage claims people haven't paid up as they have decided that they need to see my payslips from Pr£t, even though they said initially that they didn't. All copied and sent off, just hope the payment arrives before the mortgage leaves the bank account on the 26th.
I did a small food shop and saved quite a bit with vouchers, filled the car with petrol, no savings there. Found 3p road-kill. And lost 1lb!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Please don't feel guilty as I am pretty sure from knowing Bear that he wants nothing more than to know you are happy. He would be content that you were helping a fellow feline in his hour of need and know that you aren't replacing him, just easing the pain of his passing slightly.
His milk churn etc sounds amazing, oh to have someone make that much effort when I go. Not that I've got any such plans right now, I'll have you know :rotfl:
