I'll update later, but a busy day today. Job Centre - whoopie! Coffee with mum and dad, then a stint at Pr3t. I'm hoping to plant some daffodil bulbs up in some of the empty pots for the patio next spring and cut back yet more garden on my return! Oh, and washing already pegged out!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Hope you have a good day today. Those milk churns are really nice, so like everyone else I say "BUY THEM". Plant plans are lovely.
So sorry to hear about Katy cat, Februarycat, it is awful when you have to say goodbye, especially when they have been part of your family for so long. ((((hugs))))
Lots of love Granny xTargets

I concur! The Milk Churns are lovely. Buy them!! And they ARE a necessity, not a frivolous cost. They're essential for your emotional wellbeing and welfare, and that's as important to your quality of life as food and water.
On an almost-related note, our two got a wee tiny taste of milk (a drop on my finger) last week and they went nuts for it. I'm going to have to get them some lactose free milk for a treat now.
Sorry to hear about Katy, Februarycat. Our family cat when I was growing up made it to the grand old age of 24 and it was heartbreaking when she left us, even though we knew she had no more pain.0 -
Thank you, I'm so sorry about your cat too. The heart-breaking bit for me was when he stopped purring. I'm glad you've got Katy home with you and hope that you find something for her grave. One of the plants I'm going to have for the Bear is a dianthus (pink) in a pink colour with a strong scent. If it is in pink it means love. A Rosemary bush stands for rememberence and lavender signifies devotion.
Take care.
Piq
Thanks Piq and everyone, I will go for a pink plant for Katy too as pink is my favourite colour, I also have some lavender just opposite her grave. I have seen a nice pewter cat with a vase for a cat memorial its £35 so not too expensive, some of the granite stones were £190  much as I love Katy can't stretch to that on my budget.0 -

It was always a necessary grocery for the Bear - cat milk! He loved it nearly as much as he loved cream cheese. But I can't bury him in a giant cream cheese container, much as he would have liked it! A milk churn will do just fine!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

I'd forgotten all about the car tax  It's due at the end of the month
£66 to pay
I had to leave the job centre yesterday, think I'm going to get banned at this rate. My crime this time was to be putting a number in my mobile phone. The fact it was a number for careers advice up on the wall didn't wash. You are not allowed to use a mobile phone in the job centre. So I was asked to leave. I looked for signs as I was quite annoyed, the only sign I could see was banning dogs and bikes. I must have a face that says trouble...
Cleared more garden and done a fair bit of de-cluttering. I've delivered two bags of clothes that didn't sell on eb*y to Oxf*m and I'm trying to clear five pieces of clutter a day, either to the bin, eb*y or Oxf*m.
No jobs to apply for today, it seems very quiet at the moment, perhaps it will pick up next week as people return from their holidays.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
