My thoughts too FS, (love the name by the way). I would so much rather have a home made gift with some thought behind it, than something anyone, including me could buy x
My DD, DDIL2B, DM and DGDs often get hand made cards and gifts from me and love them x

Sounds yummy but perhaps not a good idea with antibiotics. Feeling very tired and crackly, (yes I do mean crackly) as that's the noise my wind pipe is making. Very disconcerting.
It'll be nice not to be poorly as its dragged on for about 5 weeks now and I'm fed up of sounding so grumpy
Had a glut of carrots left over from last weeks soup making and thought how if we lived closer we could have done a trade off, carrots for captain, bananas for DGDs. Sadly as this isn't the case I made carrot, spinach and cucumber smoothie, very healthy, very very green but surprisingly quite tasty. Would have preferred a banana one though xTargets

Hi Piquant
Another de-lurker here. I have been following your diary for ages, but only just remembered my password so I can log in and post. I will have to subscribe next, if someone can point me in the right direction please....
I check your diary almost every day, always thinking Piq must have got a job by now... you are doing very well to stay strong and motivated, an inspiration for us all.
best wishes

Hello Banana Woman , [wasn't there a cartoon banana man or did I imagine that?]
Another one here who can't get through the night without getting up.
Hope the induction day goes ok and isn't too tedious. I think thats great service from L@keland - they are very good in my limited experience.
Home made pressies are great and true friends understand and are just pleased you remembered and thought of them.
Hope the weather improves - we've had 36 hours dry, warm weather but big rain forecast for tonight:p. Am also fed up with it - so depressing.

Hello and welcome
I can't remember how to subscribe. I'm not sure all the options show while you're in posting mode. I'll look in a minute.
An inspiration?? Only on the banana front I'm afraid. I'm trying very hard not to despair on the job front and trying not to start thinking I'll never get a job againNot easy, especially when a sort of inertia takes over when I find a job to apply for, I almost can't be bothered. I'm not sure why this is happening.
Still enough about me, what do you do? Have you any madcap hobbies, animals or debts like the rest of us?
Come back and chat!

Yes, it started with the classic line 'Eric is Bananaman' or something like that! I should add that on top of the freezing of bananas and the cooking of bananas I put the skins in the compost or in the plant pots, the bay tree is already perking up nicely. I think bananas are potassium rich so very good for plants.
Sometimes, depending on what I've had to drink, I get up so many times in the night I might as well sleep in the bathroom. On my way back to bed I either trip over the Bear who is of the opinion that as I'm up I might as well top his food bowl up...or... find the Bear spreadeagled across the bed leaving me no room at all!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
