Oh Dang it Piq the hack was SO funny. The underpants:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:and the hawk. So so funny. Was very glad I wasn't drinking anything when I read it! And I think you can be excused under sink cupboard duty as I am sure the massive jump jarred your back.

Good luck with the job centre. Where your big girls pants eh?

Hi chev - waving across the miles!

I'm glad you liked the story, taking part in it was fun too, I think!

When I've got a little time I'll tell the one about the Captain, the Know-it-all and the Muck heap, I've already mentioned it a few posts back.

My course instructions recommend that you write for at least an hour, that's not part of any assignment,it's just to get you writing in a creative manner and start the writing habit and discipline. It suggests, forums, blogs and reviews. So you'll be inundated with stories....

I will go to the job centre on Tuesday. If it's not Monday it won't spoil my weekend, by taunting me.

Still haven't done the cupboard under the sink :o

Hi, I too think you have a great writing style.

There's a guy who wrote a book and has sold it by tweeting about it, he's been rather successful.

Thank you! :) I'm enjoying setting myself up for studying, I bought my reference books for 1p each today on Amazon (plus 2.80 postage) I got four book that normally would have cost 75.00 for just under 12.00, pretty good, I think.

I don't use Twitter or Facebook, maybe I need to. Although I have been thinking about starting a blog, but I don't know what to write about :) You'd have to get a following on Twitter to be able to sell your book, wouldn't you? I'm guessing you'd have to be very interesting for this to happen.

It's Friday and I've finally cleaned and cleared the cupboard under the sink. I am now on a personal challenge to use up all my cleaning products before buying anything that promises to cut my cleaning time in half, restore things to new, smell delightful or any such advertised hokum.

[Note to self; you have worked in marketing, you know the theory of making people buy products so stop falling for it!]

I have also cleaned the oven, impressed huh? Okay, so there were three different oven cleaning products in the cupboard. I have used up the one that was nearly empty and am now down to two.

The cutlery drawer is clean, tidy and organised. How does the tray get dirty, when only clean items are put in it; and where did I go wrong in the education of my children that they can't tell the difference between a knife and a spoon? I suppose I should be grateful that they can eat with the correct implements.

I've also done an hour and half of preparatory reading for module one of my course. Now all that remains is to do the daily search for an employer, the depressing bit of the day.

I'll be back later after I've visited the Captain.

    Morning BB

I only did as I had to, publicly promising something on here is a real spur to getting the task done.

As long as you hire an industrial hoover, vacuuming once a year is fine:rotfl:

  • :hello:

Hi Piq, just read all of your diary (when I was supposed to be doing other things... searching for jobs being one of them!) and I love your writing, you seem so cheerful! I have two horses, well technically they belong to my mother and sister respectively, by my ma isn't really interested any more. The old boy (ma's) has cushing's and both have had laminitis in the past (one well before we got him, the other when his health fell apart upon hitting 20) so we are well acquainted with the vets... wouldn't change the boys for the world though, they are such brilliant characters!

Just the other day out riding my sis's chap was quiet as a lamb past a huuuuuge scrap metal truck - two trailers of squeaky metal and airbrakes down a tiny lane, then leapt sideways at a sheep. :rotfl:

    Hi Lotti

Thanks for popping by, I also read diaries when I should be looking for work, I have go give myself a slap to get back to the job sites sometimes!

The Captain was tested for Cushings disease but, fortunately, failed. He's just a very hairy horse. Which reminds me, I must pay the vet bill :(

Your pair of horses sound delightful. You have to sit tight when you see a sheep then? :rotfl:I'm lucky we don't have horse eating sheep in this part of the world, but I've heard they can be nasty :rotfl:
