we now have a new kitten 6months old and she came from the RSPCA so we are back to two moggies running around the house at 5am which is fun ( sometimes) as an alarm clock.
I envy you the kitten, but not the 5 o'clock start. It's sad when they pass on, but yours like mine were quite old and were well looked after all their lives.

Hi Piquant
Thankyou for poping into my diary the other week and i thought id return the suport
sorry to hear about the recent x 2 redundancies
i was fortunate to suvive our first cut - but there may be a 2nd cut coming soon, so im job hunting every day so i can jump before im pushed
i have also had horses all my life, but 2009 i had to give up my beloved boy that i did dressage with due to looming redundacies, i wanted to find him the best home i could instead of putting my head in the sand, as i also had a house and couldnt afford to loose both
i still regret it today and i will for the rest of my life, as having him and seeing him everyday let me escrape from the daily rat race and problems:(
i have subscribed to your thread, hopefully catch you soon :beer:3-6 Emergency Fund, No96: £1,000 / £2,000 - House Deposit: £11,000 / £11,000 - Holiday Fund: £100 / £1,300 -

My course stuff has arrived!!!! A rather large box is sitting on the dining room table. I haven't opened it. Truth be told I'm a little scared. Eventually, that box may be the key to opening a new career...
Today I posted of another box set of DVDs that I sold on Amazon, some more money towards the cc debt. I also paid across 50.00 just to keep the totals rolling downwards.
I made a huge vat of carrot and coriander using the wilted coriander in the fridge and the Captains carrots soup for lunches and the freezer; some flapjacks with some of the oats I found on my cupboard cleaning expedition and tonight I'm going to make a cheese and leek pasta bake to use up the fromage frais. Leftovers are us!
The Captain and I rode out without incidents, unless you count very cold rain as an incident
No telling me off Lucielle, but I haven't managed the cupboard under the sink, my lower back still aches, think it may have something to do with yesterday!
I've gone right off selling on eBay, I've never liked it anyway. I'm thinking of asking someone else to do it for me. I have a lot of vintage clothes. Alternatively, I may call in at the vintage clothes shop in town.
Still not got my head around signing on, but I know I'll have to do it next week. Perhaps Tuesday...

Hello you! and welcome
You poor thing, I can't imagine how awful that felt. Somehow, I have kept the Captain on, he doesn't have all the fancy designer stuff that other horses down the yard have, but he is healthy and happy! He is what keeps me sanely mad and like you escape from problems.
Please come back often, there are quite a few horsey folk here, and plenty that are not. But they all have one thing in common, they're genuinely lovely people.

Hi Piq,
I subscribed to your diary a while ago and have been so entertained - your style of writing is brilliant. I truly believe you will have no problems with the writing course, and the subsequent books that will inevitably follow.
I couldn't read and run after your wonderful account of the hack. I have only just stopped laughing at my pc, and now my kids are looking at me with the suspicion that they were right all along - I really am mad.
Thank you for sharing your story with us.
