That's a fab pressie from the man pet. Now missus, get the kitchen timer and do 15 minutes of cupboard cleaning and you'll soon get through it.

    Evening Lucielle

Feeling a little less stressed after your nightmare journey?

Howzabout I promise to do two tomorrow? and a shelf in the messy, sticky spice and baking cupboard?

It's ok. I'd probably get the runt anyway

Thanks Maty, I know I have to do it sooner or later. I thought it was just me, being a snob. The place even smelled rank. I cannot put into words how much I hated the experience. I may have to put it off until next week I'm really going to have to mentally prepare myself for it.

    Piq

Oh yes, THAT smell! The great unwashed, yeeeeuchhhh :(

I hated it too, but my mortgage protection wouldn't pay out unless I was claiming. And then I got a job before they would actually pay out under the terms of the policy :rotfl:

Boo to job interviews that don't know a good thing when they see it. Yah to the course - sounds great and what a splendid pressie, good man.

Before you posted about it was going to suggest you get the current 'Writers and Artists Yearbook' from the library to see if that helps with ideas and suggestions. I have a friend who takes great photographs and sends some into mags with bits shes written, had quite a few published. The book helps with info on what publications are looking for and addresses. Though of course you may be more looking at writing a book rather than articles?

Hope the postie brings your goodies soon - no lying in wait behind the hedge now :rotfl:

ETA I believe lettuce soup is possible - there will probably be recipes for it on the OS thread?

I cannot believe what the man pet has just done for me.

He has just paid for and enrolled me on a home study course called 'Write and Be Published'!! I had been looking at the course as it helps you with ideas and shows you the quickest way into print. It teaches you how to write articles, short stories, novels as well as writing for radio, TV and stage and covers journalism. Plus masses of other stuff. It's a four year course, I'm so excited!:j

I so want to see if I can do it yet I knew I couldn't afford a course like this. All I need now is the material to arrive. I'll be the one mugging the postman:laugh:

    Bless man pet.

HOW FANTASTIC!!! :D I am so happy for you - will help you focus on the new career change.

Old Boy is now lame again  Mare 2 - took bandage off on Saturday and after a tantrum managed to get a clean on one. Vet came out last night and said geldings lameness nothing to do with his knee (oh great something else to worry about) and that we had done a good job on mare 2. Said to keep covered a few more days - no granulation yet but is a bad wound - another course of antibiotics and then to put manuka honey on - never used before but heard lots about so curious to see how fast it works. Tried to ride mare 1 on Saturday morning but normally a little hot head and even worse when friend standing outside school watching her :o Oh well like Noo said - roll on summer - no more haylage and bedding costs :D

We bought some clippers last year to do it ourself but I dont like being covered in hair lol.

Thanks for butternut squash soup receipe - def going to try it I love butternut. :D

Right off to try catch up on a few more threads, see you all later :j

Of course it's alright to subscribe Danetastic! I love Great Danes, I love the lollipiness (a new word!) of them when they run, all the Danes I have met have had such lovely natures. Wonderful dogs.

I look forward to seeing you here - lots!

Poor Lam it's so worrying when an oldie is not right, more so sometimes than the younger ones, when's it's often from hooleying around. I do hope he comes right soon.

I've heard great things about Manuka honey as a healing agent for people. No reason to believe it wouldn't work on an animal too. Keep us posted on how effective it is.

I'll be taking the Captain out for a hack later, the sun is out, he'll love the feeling of it on his back, not necessarily the feeling of me on his back, but that's life! He's one nosy horse, he's always bent like a right angle looking into peoples gardens and houses. However, if you asked him for shoulder fore in a dressage test.....:)
