So poor I can't even pay attention

It's a beautiful spring like day here and I haven't done much today other than try to enjoy it.
I was supposed to be taking the Captain out on a long hack with my friend and her pony. Unfortunately, the Captain had other ideas. I think the spring weather must have addled his brains as he was very naughty indeed, refusing point blank to go where asked and spending a fair amount of time half in a ditch and half in someone's drive stubbornly planted to the ground. After much discussion, we had to turn for home. It's been a few years since he behaved like this, he spent much of his youth in ditches, but he's a grand old man of 26 now!
I have man pet coming round for dinner tonight, he had better behave!
Money is very tight so man pet is getting leftover, cunningly disguised as Spanish omelette, served with green salad and rosemary and garlic flat bread.

You were quite right, he thought it was one of the best meals ever! Maybe I should write a recipe book, 'leftovers and wilty vegetables'

The recipes call for a certain degree of wilt. To obtain the necessary wilt the veg must sit in the vegetable drawer for a minimum of a week, preferably two! The carrots require a gentle droop as does the celery!Doesn't work for the cucumber though

:rotfl:^^^^ LOL
Carrots and apples dont survive long in our house - horses get them. Such lovely weather here today and I have been very MSE (for me) cleaned the kitchen (inspired from you guys) washing hung on the line and now off to a local one day event to photograph a friend doing the 95 cm cross country. Probably wont be MSE as the lovely burger van will be therebut OH has given me a tenner so I might even have some change for my sealed pot
Hope everyone is having a good weekend.0 -
Had a fantastic day yesterday at the yard getting two of the beasts ready for ODE today, what lovely weather, makes everything seem so pleasant, even the mucking out. Got up nice and early today, got my two girls up, arrived at the yard with plenty of time to get ready, started the lorry moved it round to front of yard for easy loading, turned said lorry off - load horses and peripherals, hop into cab turn key - nothing, nada. Lorry not moving. Ughhh £60 of wasted entry fees and I only had the nags clipped in the week ready for the ODE (wouldn't have bothered otherwise). Total of £125 down - what a waste.0
