Noonar, sorry to hear that. What a pain.
How much will it cost to fix the lorry?
Hope you both had a good weekend out and about though. The weather has been GORGEOUS down here :-)MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

I've been worried about the Bear for a few days, he hasn't been eating the humungous amounts of cat food that he normally puts away, although he doesn't seem to have lost any weight.
I mentioned my concerns to man pet in passing, and thought no more about it. Last night man pet turns up with a treat to tempt the Bear to eat; smoked salmon. Not surprisingly, the Bear was tempted, ate what he was offered with and proceeded to tart himself all over the man pet. Not unusual in a cat, but this cat has always ignored man pet completely, turning his back on poor man pet or leaving the room! But whilst there was a hope of more salmon, there was nothing the Bear wasn't prepared to do. He patted the man pet with his paw, purred loudly, sat some of his ample backside on the man pet's lap (the rest simply hung over the sides). Far from thinking that the Bear was being shallow, man pet is now enchanted. Clever, clever Bear!
On my way to the stables this morning, my neighbour said hello and mentioned that my cat has been eating the food put out for the hedgehogs at the village hall....
The Bear is not off his food, just eating food that is not his...

 just stopping by to say hello!
Bear sounds very much like our cat, we have lovingly named him Sid after the book "6 dinner sid" he pimps himself out to half the street, luckily I get the purring ball of warmthness over night and not the half eaten rewards of his latest hunt like the neigbour!Living in a superhero induced haze :A:A

I don't know the book 6 dinner Sid, I will have to look it up, certainly, the Bear has based himself on it!

Hi Brizzled, weather has been beautiful here too - makes everything not quite as grey! Not sure about the lorry, will phone the auto electrician tomorrow, hopefully not too much or I will have to avoid paying the vet! My old man had a look, but it was nothing obvious, he works on a farm so has some idea! Oh well c'est La vie.
I don't think the weather is supposed to be as nice tomorrow, thats ok though coz I will be at work.

Had a fantastic day yesterday at the yard getting two of the beasts ready for ODE today, what lovely weather, makes everything seem so pleasant, even the mucking out. Got up nice and early today, got my two girls up, arrived at the yard with plenty of time to get ready, started the lorry moved it round to front of yard for easy loading, turned said lorry off - load horses and peripherals, hop into cab turn key - nothing, nada. Lorry not moving. Ughhh £60 of wasted entry fees and I only had the nags clipped in the week ready for the ODE (wouldn't have bothered otherwise). Total of £125 down - what a waste.
Oh Noo, that's not good news, how frustrating for you! Hopefully, you know someone who can fix it for you. At our yard, there's normally an OH who tinkers and fixes lorries, tractors, kettles and the like.
At least you have tidy nags!

Oh Noo ! How disappointing! I was so jealous today and really miss my eventing days. I wish I had something that would do it now. But weather was fab and it is the first proper event of the season that is near us so was lovely to catch up with old friends.
Piq - your cat has been lurking on here and just being MSE - probably just forgot to tell you not to bother buying his food and that he could get all you can eat buffet down the road :rotfl:0 -

Of course! That'll be it. Never mind the poor hedgehogs waking from hibernation to find a giant tabby eating their breakfast...I don't suppose he'll care for one moment, the Bear is not into conserving nature, culling it, is more his thing

I've just watched the Bear 'bury' a dead mouse under the lobby mat and then sit on the mat. Sooner or later I'm going to have to go out there and dispose of the body. To add insult to injury, he keeps 'running' on the glass door, so I'll have to clean that too. This is the second mouse in two days, he's on a killing spree, knew I should have renamed him Dexter...
For some reason I'm really tired today and finding it an effort to drag myself round. I've got masses to do today, so must get on.
I've found the site for applying for JSA, it says it takes an hour to do. Then I'll be called in for an interview. The way I'm feeling, this is a job for this afternoon, although part of me wonders if this hanging over my head is why I'm feeling so tired.
