oh yippeee - the opportunity of more money and the ability to smile sweetly and tell Mr Garden Centre you are leaving. First and foremost trot along and get the wages, then say bye bye. Hopefully you will be able to then not have them owing you any money via a spiteful little tactic of "forgetting" your pay. If not possible then copy the hours you did and get take it with you (get someone to sign it if possible) just in case.
Well done on the coffee machine tactic and still try and get the benefits thing sorted, you may get back payments for the time between then and now - you never know.

This diary doesn't need me! It's got a life all of its own...

I don't know where to start. Thank you all so much for caring and being interested in everything.

I'm still !!!!-a-hoop [wonder if that will be screened out]. Although it's only 16 hours and not enough to live on it's a start. Problem, as with all of us, is I need a minimum take home pay to survive. At the moment that figure is about £2k. If only I didn't have the debt....

I will continue to search for other work.

As always excellent advice from Missrir. They do the pay on Friday [tomorrow] thought I'd pop in and collect it in the afternoon and tell them then. I'll offer to work the weekend as it is money at the end of the day. I suspect I'll be told to take a hike.

Hello Pink Poppy, I've seen you lurking, you know the rules. Once out in the open you have to stay! I'm fairly sure in my dim and distant past I've had the cat breath and raspy tongue from a non-cat and it was yeuck too. I've been out with a lot of frogs...

...and  slowly fading. Yes I will get free coffee and very nice it is too. We're not allowed to have the decent Illy coffee at the garden centre. He supplies a jar of T*sco value coffee  - revolting!

Poor cake! I can't believe you could get labelled a blasphemer. I hate to think what label I'd have to wear  Funny though :rotfl::rotfl:There's a lot of horrible bosses out there and there is nothing an employee can do but leave.

Thanks for the advice chev. I'm not normally a fiery person, so unless the chap is very rude I'm unlikely to fly off the handle. He has most of his contacts in the cafe to show off. Many of them have been hit many times over with both the ugly stick and the thick stick. I don't think any future work will coming from there, not unless it's filling in probationary forms...

I am on contribution based jsa bast I was told by the admin office part of the DWP that it would be counted as income, despite the insurance company confirming in writing that it was to cover my mortgage. They keep sending me the same form asking for the breakdown of my mortgage payments, cover and amounts. I'm up to five copies now! I sometimes think they are as muddled as I am.

Pinot get real! Me, being asked out on a hot date??? Have you seen me? I seem to scare men away most of the time!

Looks like I'm competing with Pinot on the long post competition. Thank you all for being there for me. I so appreciate it. I do pop in and out of your diaries, as you may have noticed. I don't give much wonderful advice, because I don't know the questions, let alone the answers! But I'm there for you too.

Youve spent too much time on my diary and my rambling and burblings are obviously catching !!

Good luck tomorrow if you venture in to collect the money.

I think you should feel very special ,safe in the knowledge that so many people out there care how you are doing and want to help if they can, and you are right you have had some amazing advice ( not from me I hasten to add, my comments are generally of the useless kind!) but its amazing to realise how much knowledge people out there have at times when you need it the most !

Im going now before my post ends up longer than yours !!xxxx

It used to be a lot easier when the processing site was on the same site as the jobcentres.. I can see how it will be counted as income because income based jsa is means tested and they look at all income coming into the house, however I think there is provision for the fact it is a mortgage payment and they would have to pay this anyway.. I think it will go to a decision make at the processing section and they will look at it then...I cannot believe you have been sent the same form five times... madness .. My husband was on ESA before he was medically retired and they stopped his claim for no reason.. fortunately we had money coming in. Other people might not have been so lucky.. So I do understand the frustration.

On another note you will have to sign off if you do 16 hrs... It is up to 16 hrs you can work whilst claiming jsa.. So you could do 15hrs and 55 mins but as soon as you hit the 16 hrs, you are automatically signed off...
