Piq - think carefully about the offer for the weekend working and bear in mind they might still not pay you for this. do you want to be the person who they don't care about insulting for 2 days? You may well feel better about working a notice period, and I suppose you can always leave mid shift if they are rude, (thinking cap whirrs) oh actually scrap the previous bit of the post, do it and drag your toes, like Captain and go backwards then if he does bite, theatrically burst into tears and run out saying you are mean and beastly to me and I am going to see a solicitor. That will hopefully insert the fear of your chosen deity into him as you can claim harassment and unfair dismissal.
    Best of British to you
    xx

Remembering how I felt last Sunday I don't want to work there again. I wanted to walk out after an hour. It's just the money I'm thinking of. I'll see how it goes tomorrow when I hand my notice in and make a judgement call then. I'm only doing it for the Captain and the Bear.

I've spent money today....petrol, potatoes, milk, tomatoes and spinach - interesting meal :rotfl:

I made a lovely cous cous salad for lunch using up a wrinkled pepper and some sad tomatoes, roasted them with some garlic and olive oil stirred in some chilli flakes and black olives and it was lush.

On my person quest to not waste any food I made a banana loaf from the over-ripe bananas sliced it up and put the portions in the freezer for lunches next week.

The Captain escaped again and ate the show horse's dinner :o straight after his own dinner I might add. How come he doesn't put on weight? yet I put on weight if I think about a biscuit?

I took him out for a hack and spent most my time trying to keep him in a straight line, he doesn't do puddles  and does dramatic last minute swerves to avoid them. Somebody must have told him that piranha live in puddles and lie in wait to eat horses....

Good grief gally! He's far too young for me! I admit he's attractive but a lot younger than me!

How are you? Which boards are you hanging around, I think I might visit and pop out at you!

Well as I am doing this on works iPad and can't work out how to go between threads without going backwards all the time I dont think I will be hanging round anywhere soon! :D

That's clearly where I am going wrong then!! The things that annoy me about it is it's hard to use the smilies and other stuff..the iPad is best for just a quick reply.
Agree...think I am gonna open a sweepstake, folks, on whether Piq can get lucky on the man pet front...with this run of luck.. ( you know proper author and everything now too! :-)) think going for the Pr&t boss is just the thing.

I will open the bidding and say she'll land him before the week is out...:rotfl:

Fab news ... admire a man's coffee machine, I had never thought of that one! Seriously, am delighted for you. I survived working for a truly horrible "family firm" for a fair few months - looking back, I don't know how I did. Actually, I do - no other work, cats horses and man to feed (not always in that order). The "family" were politically slightly to the right of Attila the Hun - or maybe that's a slur on Attila, who may well have been a lovely chap and kind to kittens. The family made me sign a document thingy they drew up, that I agreed not to blaspheme - and apparently lots of the phrases I use on a daily basis are blasphemous. I never knew .... Gad, it was a relief when I left. Actually, they sacked me, and when I asked why (always useful to know for the future), they just said that everything I had done for them had been "exemplary" .... confusing. But now I much prefer being self-employed!
Apologies for quoting my own post, but writing this made me think about those bullies I used to work for, so today I drove past where their horrid showroom used to be, AND IT HAS CLOSED DOWN! There is a Gad! So ... very best of luck for tomorrow, and hopefully something similar (or worse) will happen to that !!!!!!. I feel sure your luck has turned, it will be onwards and upwards for you - Go Piq!

    Great idea Mrs B !!!

I hae a sneaking suspiscion he could be The One !! After all, he must have hundreds of people through his door every day moaning about their jobs and admiring his coffee machine ( are you really sure it is all you were admiring Piq ? ) but he chose Piq over all those others ,to sit down with at the table and offer a job to. Even better, he has even met the parents !!! :rotfl:

I bet that made you feel so good Cake. My nasty ex boss drank the profits, was beyond nasty while I was pregnant then many years down the line actually rang me crying down the phone asking for advice on how to save the business. It was too late to save anything by then, but stupidly me being me actually felt sorry for him despite him being the nastiest man on earth !

I agree though I think things are really looking up for Piq now !
