We had another evening of both of his dd, texting and phoning  They were staying at his as there is some family do they're all going to [I made excuses
hate other peoples family affairs
] The daughters were arguing over which room each of them were sleeping in  Not bad for women in their thirties. However, he's just as bad as he answers the texts. I'm afraid I told him to either turn the phone off or leave as it was spoiling our evening and I had spent a couple of hours preparing a meal for him and it was just plain rude to be using his phone and his girls needed to grow up! He turned the phone off, but he was fretting, but selfishly I ignored it
How flipping childish are they, I would have been very mad :mad:I feel that at the moment the Captain is writing the second volume of his memoirs as he is particularly 'full of it'. Yesterday he was as gentle as a lamb for a disabled lady who had never been on a horse before but really wanted to try. The Captain stood like a rock as four of us got her on, he didn't twitch. Then he carefully walked to the school, you could see him looking where he was putting his feet. She rode him for 15 minutes, she had a grin from ear to ear. I was so proud of him. After we all helped her off and back into her wheelchair I got on him and he bucked and bounced around the school like a rodeo horse. Playtime with mum:eek:

How fab was he for the disabled lady :T But what a little horror for you  Did she get to see the difference, it would have made her feel even better that she was able to make him calm :j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -

I still am a bit cross. He's moaning that he's got all her stuff stored at his house and that it takes up five rooms! I suggested he put it in storage for her... Now here's the thing. I've never been to his house. It's beginning to bother me. We always spend the evening at mine, I cook and supply the film or recorded programme, he brings the wine. It must be because his house belonged to his wife and him. The relationship, such as it is, is beginning to feel unbalanced. I can't see where we can go from here. It certainly doesn't help with me having no money...

Yes, she saw the difference! She thought he was brilliant and hopes he charges around for her  I whispered in his little devil horn ear 'don't get any ideas, mate...'
Today he raced against one of his lady friends. Not a hope! She's much faster than him, not that he was admitting it!

The Captain adapts to whoever is riding him. He'll not move a muscle if a small child is there. If the yard manager gets on, he's cantering before her bum hits the saddle!

Isn't it wonderful how horses are so senstive as to be gentle when needed? I've never ridden a horse but it's on my bucket list of things to do.
On the subject of man pet his daughters certainly act strange considering their age.Perhaps, you need to have a conversation with him regarding all your concerns including that you only meet at your house.0 -

I have to ask; why are you posting so late? Are you on the other side of the world? Can you not sleep? Either way, it's lovely to see you here when I log in!
I have had the conversation with man pet [sort of] He shared the house with his late wife, so it's her home and he says he's let it get into a big mess and is embarrassed by it. Also he lives next door to his mother-in-law who would be upset to see me in her daughter's house. To be honest, I don't want to go there, but it still riles me - I know, no logic here at all - sorry!
I don't think we have a long term future together, unless he can move away from there, if we were to live together we would have to start somewhere that was ours. It's not pressing at the moment, I have too much on my plate with money, or the lack of it, to consider anything else major.

Hi P,
Sounds like neither manpet nor his dd can / wont let go of their past. Would bug me too if I invited someone for dinner and they sat texting. He either wants to be there or he doesnt.
Not much happening on my side - got a few things on eby and nearly reached my target for another amzn voucher but I may have to travel to Europe later this week as an elderly aunt is having major surgery and my mother wants to go over to be with her. It is such a mission to get to her its easier if I chaperone mother.
Hope this week is better than last for you x0 -

I wish I was on the other side of the World.Unfortunately,I find it difficult to sleep sometimes for many reasons, pain(osteo arthritis and lymphodema) or worrying about various stuff or just sheer insomnia.
I can see then why you don't want to visit his house anyway and also see why it riles you as well.
I do hope that you can sort your money worries out soon.Did you ever see CAB or anyone similar regarding your mortgage protection as it doesn't sound right that they can stop your JSA because of that as after all it's to pay your mortgage.Though if it was an income protection plan then I could understand it.0 -

Ah that will be it then, you poor thing! I'm often awake and reading the diaries at about three in the morning, I don't sign in, always hoping I'll fall asleep again!
I'm leaving the man pet scenario to run for the time being. Other things are more important at the moment, unfortunately. That last statement says a lot...
My job advisor thinks it will only effect income based JSA, as I don't have an income in won't be affected. I am a bit confused. I have to let them know when the payment will be going through and I've just remembered I haven't done that yet. That'll be a tomorrow morning job.
