glad to hear Bear is ok. Sounds like the vet trip is very traumatic for him. One of my dogs is like that poor thing.
I hope the DWP sort themselves out - sounds an awful palava and as if you dont have enough worry on your plate!0 -
glad the Bear is ok, he'll soon forget the ordeal he's been through once he's eaten some chicken. Certainly he'll forget before you stop feeling guilty.0

I'm so glad Bear is ok and you will have him back home soon !! Bet he will forgive you just as soon as he eats the lovingly cooked chicken. Will he share the pie ?!!
Maybe he should put his manky teeth under his pillow at bedtime and see if the Tooth Fairy magically appears in the night with some shiny pennies for your both !!
Seriously though, so pleased that he is up and about, staggering around and singing away xxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

The Bear is home!
He has very few teeth left and is as high as a kite as he's on morphine. He keeps staring into the distance then sitting by the space his food bowl ought to be! I was told to wait half an hour and feed him little and often. He only heard often. Obviously very willing to suck his dinner down!
I've somehow got to get some rather large capsules down him from tomorrow. I may well be writing my diary from A&E....
So since last night the Bear has:- starved
- thrown his cat litter out of the tray but not used it
- poohed in the middle of the bath mat
- sang an aria
- thrown up on the surgery floor
- chatted up a lady vet
- taken drugs

The Bear is currently sitting in the bath! I don't know why, I don't think he's ever been in the bath before! I'll be glad when he's back to normal.

The Bear is fine but still not himself, very unhappy, he's lost his purr.
This morning I had to give him his first anti-biotic capsule, it's huge! I've never had any success with cats and medicine. I opened a small tin of tuna, opened the capsule and mixed the two together. The Bear gave it a couple of licks and walked off! So I picked up the cat bowl and added a healthy dollop of cream cheese, mixed it all together and re-presented it to the Bear. He ate it all - hurrah!
Five minutes later it occurred to me that I am now making tuna pate for the cat :rotfl:
I shall make a larger batch later, will be popping to A*d* to get the ingredients and anything else that tempts him to eat - you can tell me off all you like, I'm not going to be particularly mse about it...
