Well I think that Asbo for the cat treats is just fine and MSE - not like you are buying W@itrose ready roast chicken just for the darling boy. I think the bath thing was to try and confuse you - he is getting his own back with psychological warfare!

I shall make a larger batch later, will be popping to A*d* to get the ingredients

I must stop reading in a hurry - I read this as 'will be popping acid' I know it's traumatic to get the Bear to take his meds but surely it's not that bad :rotfl:

Glad to hear he is okay. Please thank him for me drenching my keyboard with tea, when I read that he was sat in the bath. Hilarious.

Oh dear poor you and poor Bear - what a worry but very glad he is okish. I wonder if the morphine caused him hallucinations? We had a cat who used to sit in the bath but that was mainly so she could poo in the plug hole .
Was going to suggest opening the capsule and mixing it with food but you are way ahead of me there. Its hard if they won't take pills/medicine. I am used to holding cats by their scruff and giving pills that way but Mr A goes ballistic if his scruff is grabbed [not sure what happened to him in the past]. So it takes 2 of us to give a pill - he has to be held like a baby and turned over and I then open his mouth and pop the pill in and that seems to work, not much use if I'm on my own.

Have you seen this book BTW - http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1445415941

Hope The Bear gets his purr back very soon :D

Sorry to hear about the Bear..what a trauma.

Warmest regards from our cat here...Mr T! (He hates tablets too and frontline being dabbed on the scruff of his neck even more)

And as for you..Mrs P...combining mystery shops with medical emergencies is truly being a MSEr!!:T:rotfl:

Cooking for your cat? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I don't think so! I'm embarrassed enough at how much I'm spoiling him.

I'm trying to justify it by telling myself that human friends say it hurts after they've had teeth extracted and the gaps must feel funny.

Okay, so I've stocked up on tuna in spring water and economy cream cheese, some chicken and some princess type cat food, the type of food cut into teeny weeny morsels for special cats :o:o

Oh God, I'm a cat servant.....

I'll have to get him a velvet cushion for his furry backside next!

Apart from the buying of tempting titbits for the Bear. I sold one of the Captain's saddle cloths today for £20. He'd grown out of it years ago and someone down the yard was saying they were looking for one like it. Originally, it was very expensive, but I'd forgotten I'd got it, still in mint condition!

Also transferred my money out of paypal from ebaying - £250.00 which covers the Bear's vet fees. I'm going to list some more later. It's free listing if you use the ebay app. I'll give it go. It can only go horribly wrong!

I might get some work down at the stables next week, I'll find out over the weekend - fingers crossed please.

So glad the Bear is OK ... one of our two cats has taken to cr*pping in the spare room, even though he has a cat flap and a frequently cleaned litter tray. Can never understand why, if we are (supposedly) the most intelligent animal species, we end up as their lavatory attendants? We also have a horse who had to be taken down to an equine hospital in the middle of the night, as he was showing symptoms of colic ... life is very expensive and tiring at the moment.
Delighted to read that you are doing some mystery shopping; it would be a long haul to make your fortune at it, but it's a very useful gap filler in lean times - and some reports can incorporate a little (non) creative writing. Very best of luck with all your projects - rooting for you with all fingers, paws and hooves crossed.

    Thank you cake!

I do appreciate all the crossed fingers, paws and hooves.

That's not good news for the poor horse having to go to horspital. I do hope he gets better soon. I don't envy you the vet bill :eek:

I laughed at the idea of being a feline lavatory attendant, then realised I was a feline cook too. Slave is possibly a better description!

sounds like you are certainly a slave to The Bear but then that means you're not different to the rest of us who are owened by cats. Glad he's home safely even if it was to freak you out by sitting in the bath, i bet he had spent a lot of time whilst at the vets scheming that unique form of punishment. I'll also be that all the cats sit there compairing the people they own and the tricks that they've played on them.
