CoolTrikerCheck - they say that copying is one of the great compliments. Take it as that it's easier, we have some friends who always do similar, but not everyone has imagination.

grannybroon wrote:Cooltrickerchick - sounds like a very productive and satisfying day and maybe the aches and pains worth it. My garden (my post this morning) is feeling so sad. I can't remember last time I left it so long. Hopefully I will get out there soon and fill my brown recycling bin! Maybe you should do a streak and see what reaction you get! Post the results here!!!!

Hi to all on the OS board today,
Had a bit of a scare earlier as I lost my purse in my local Morrisons. :eek:Luckily, someone handed it in, but left no name or address for me to say thanks. Took DS to feed the ducks, and went into Boots with pigsback voucher to stock up on essentials. Also got some lovely clothes for my niece (aged 3) which were 2 tops, trousers and a lovely long beige suede coat, all for £1.
Have taken reduced price pizza (was £2.27, reduced to 50p) out for the Powie household's tea. May have some chips with it as a treat. Have a good evening all, PowieA woman is like a tea bag. You never know how strong she is until she gets into hot water.:D0 -
I once left my purse on top of my car! got all the way to the till before I realised! ran outside saw a man holding it and shouted "that's my purse" he was all apologetic (even though it was my fault ) and said he was about to hand it in to customer services! unfortunately I always paid by card so had nothing to give him!:opowie69 wrote:Hi to all on the OS board today,

Was awake for a couple of hours during the night, so did not wake until quite late this morning.......I have been on the internet most of the day, we have booked to go to Scotland next weekend for 3 nights to look at a couple of houses not far from where we used to live, but more rural rather then urban. Its a while since we lived up there so I guess things will have changed a bit. We have also looked at Lincolnshire.....one agent has three or four houses we could be interested in.:D

No OS today, although I did manage to do some ironing and finish off a bag I was making......OH has had his head in the map book....
Baked gammon, tommys, baked spuds and mushrooms for supper, bananas and ice-cream to follow. Chicken out of the freezer for tomorrow and I have just taken a loaf out of the BM. I need to find a recipe for muffins to take with us for brekkie when we are away next weekend.......I refuse to pay Little Chef prices for a muffin and a cup of coffee!!!!! I did wonder if I could get away with using the Romuska in the room to cook a supper????? but think thats going a bit too far, someone might smell cooking!!!!!!!!!!  and want some!!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Right I am off for some supper.....................:T :TWas 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

ShirleyPark - saw rats in pet shop yesterday when getting new fish. Sorry can't say I am taken with them but there again not everyone likes rabbits and hamsters as I do! How many rats do you have? I believe they do make excellent pets.
I have 2 rats. They had a couple of nice rabbits in the pet shop too, but I know I'm not allowed a rabbit, or a cat
They do make quite good pets, though I have heard a few horrible stories of people's pet rats biting and such, but mine have never done that.
chickadee - do you want to come and clean ours ? It's still half covered in moss - grrrrr.
Ebay advise - there's quite a few threads on the ebay and other auctions forum http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.html?f=40Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0 -
Good Evening All
Hope we are well
grannybroon Thankyou very much, I managed to get a rest this afternoon. My exFIL, apparently is seeing "pretty lights", not sure if its the steroids he's on. He goes on Monday to see the consultant again, checkover & review on his tablets. Hospital checked him over, and cant find nothing serious with his eyes. So he's back home now.
I can understand your concerns ref ebay addiction with DSIL. It must be a worry for you & DD. Ebay is very addictive, once you get the bug on that first win, you want more of it! I used to be the same. But now Im wiser to the site, I always shop around first to see if the item is cheaper elsewhere. Perhaps this is something your DD could do, and point out to him, that bidding on ebay is not always cheaper! I always take the auction price & p&p charges into consideration, to work out if it will benefit me, That might make him think more!
OH & DS enjoyed football, despite the team losing.
I dropped DS off at his dad's. So its quiet again here.
OH just made a salad & mushroom omlette for dinner. Now watching Dancing on Ice.
Have a lovely evening all, take care

Evening all,
Well house clean,
all shopping done and put away,
trip to beach done,
washing done,
apple and blackberry concoction in oven.
I am quitely chuffed with the day so far except that lo is poorly and running a temp. He has been dosed with calpol 4 hrly which brings it down and then it shoots up again. He hasn't drunk a thing and only eaten 5 yoghurts. I have tried all ways to get him to drink. The last wet nappy was this afternoon. It looks like a trip to aberdoc if he gets any worse or isn't drinking by tomorrow.
He's up in his cot now with a bottle of warm milk and I have just sat for half an hour trying to give that to him like when he was a baby.
LOL what did we ever used to do with ourselves and our time before we had children?
Anyway, off to heat some stew for my tea and maybe surf around later or get in to my weffriddles.
Goodnight all,
