  • HI...EVERYONE...well all my mob are still in bed.....its hubby's weekend off...work so.......dont know what we will be doing today......might send them fishing or something......so they can have quality father and sons time.......plus give me peace and quiet:D

elaine have you tried asking on the freecycle site... might be worth a go but dont hold your breath......also why dont you phone some garages....to see if the got any cheap cars.......we have often done this.....the garage which does our repairs and mot is good friend... and when ever we have needed a cheap car quick.... he seems to be in the know......worth a go.....or try a sales garage.. and ask have they got any cars that have been put in part ex.... that are really cheap.....especially a dealership...... as they put all cars over a certain age in the auctions.. or sell them straight to a smaller garage.......i remeber jeremy clarkson done this a year or 2 ago... their researcher bought a volvo from the dealership for £1.....

hope you have some luck in finding one over the weekend......

well today i really need to get cracking with listing things on turbo lister......

crazychick..... we went to york last year ..for a few days... what a lovely place..... we went mainly to go to the national train museum.... as the youngest is well into his trains.......also went to the viking thing under ground......but the smell.. i neally threw up..... would love to go back to york again.......it took us about 6 hours to get there.......but well worth it......

nice sunny day here........so washing should dry nicely...

take care everyone.... hope you all have a nice weekend....

Elaine373, Crazychick and TiredMum - thoughts and prayers are with you.

Big boys loved the wrestling last night. I've got lots of brownie points! DH loved the wrestling ladies too:rolleyes:

Big girl is now threatening to get the now black hair hacked off (it is long and lovely). She has booked a hairdressers appt on Monday. I hope I am well enough to go out so I can stop her being shorn of her lovely locks.

Baby girl is alot better today. Just has a nasty cough.

Feeling a little better myself. Just really wiped out. Will try to tackle the mountain of ironing that has built up.

DH, big girl and big boys are off to watch footie this pm. Leyton Orient is their team. I will have cuddles and stories with little boy and baby girl. If I can get them to have a snooze then I can join them!

    Enjoy your Saturday everyone!

Morning all. Just a quick post to say I'm still alive (just)

Crazychick I don't know what's going on but hugs to you for whatever it is.

elaine don't rule out finding a free car, you never know! I gave one away to someone on Downsizer once. And if DD1 doesn't sort out the MOT for the one that's in my back garden I will be giving that one away too!! It's been parked in the garden for nearly two years and I need the room! What a waste of a car. It's doing my head in.

Back to my sick bed for a while (sofa really, DH is working this weekend and I have to look after the kids).

  • Hi all

Quite a nice day here today, quiet at mo as lo is in bed, dh sound asleep and kids on xbox!

Was on the no more panic forum last night and a lot of them swear by the cbt for dummies book, so think i will get that, will see if they have at library first before buying.

For the ladies after a free car, why not ask on freecycle? i have seen quite a few cars on in our area, no harm asking is there? we are going to be getting a newer version of the car we have next year, also am going to be doing my driving lessons:eek: start of year as lo will start nursery next year after summer! omg he will be 3 next year, time flies:rotfl:

So doubt we will get a holiday next year!.

Os today, bread on, sort through my drawers to throw out, sort out my books etc and clean the house

    Hugs
    Kyle
  • Good morning everyone.

Bad start to the day when I couldn't get on here first thing! However bed changed and washing out on the line.

Had a great night's sleep so feeling much better today. Think I will be back at work on Monday! Could do with a week off now I am feeling better to do a big de-clutter of the house. DH is away for 3 weeks and it is so much easier doing major tasks when he is away.

Garden in need of severe tlc but don't feel up to tackling it yet. I think it needs to get a bit warmer! I didn't give it the usual autumn tidy up and am regretting it now. However, my snowdrops are out as are a few of my miniature daffodils. A sign that spring is on the way.

Hope you all have a good day. Crazychick - try and have a rest at some point today.

    Love

  • Morning :hello:

Didn't wake up till 9:30 and it felt like I'd been asleep for much longer! I might have slept even later but I have a building site within 50 yards of my bedroom window where there is another development of new private flats springing up. It's not terribly noisy - just a bit of hammering - and I like seeing the "regeneration" of this area actually happening.

Yep Nels, that's the Jorvik Viking Centre - I've never been, despite having lived in York for 3 years (university). I used to have a friend who worked there though. He also worked as a tour guide on the open top buses, and did some of the York Ghost Walks (he used to pay his best mate to hide around corners wearing a dark cloak and spook the tourists :rotfl:)

Anyway, must go. Got absolutely s*d all done last night, so need to do it all today and tomorrow. Flat needs a good tidy and deep clean, and I need some veg, for which I might go over to Lewisham Market. Also need to find a set of coat hooks for my hallway wall, as my dad will be over here tomorrow and says he will mount it for me.

((((hugs)))) to tired mum and Crazychik and anybody else who needs them.

    Love Rzl xx

    Morning everyone

I am having dgs for the weekend and me and dd are taking him to a soft play thingy to wear him out... dd has made me promise to join in and not take a book or my embroidery or my radio for the footie - she knows me so well :D

dd's surgery for friday has been cancelled  but rescheduled for this wednesday   this means that a planned half term trip to the science museum is off and i will have to take another day's leave which leaves me with half a day until the end of november     The rest of my leave has been frittered away on vicarious ear infections so i really hope this surgery works!

right off to sneak teeny tiny embroidery into bag while she's not looking and pick up dgs

I've took Uni stuff to soft play areas before, if it's quiet enough I usually manage to get some done while the kids play :)

Well DP must have woken up properly now as he's just rang to thank me for aking his breakfast and etting him up, for all he was grumpy I made scrambled eggs with fresh cream, sausages, mushrooms and toast, didn't even get a thank you, until now. I just got grunted at as he was tired.

Weather seems to be brightening up so going to try to get some washing dry outside, or at least partly dry! Sick of the house looking like a laundrette!
One day I might be more organised...........
