You still need to pay NI as a company director - you are not exempt - I thought you would have known this.0 -
Also Dan - you didn't answer my question asking why, if the 'point' of marriage to you is for her to take your name, you don't just get her to change her name by deed poll and save some money? Or are you acknowledging that there ARE more important 'points' of marriage than just the name...?
Of course there is. Sharing the husbands name is just part of it.0 -

At least she will be around to raise our children rather then down the career path using a differnt name to the rest of the family.

Before, you said: "For those that have asked if I would not marry my fiancee if she wanted to keep her own name, the answer is yes - what would be the point? We had might as well stay as we are!"
Sort of explicitly stating that there is no point in getting married if not for her to take your name!0 -
Go and check out some of the Finance borads.
No need poppet. When you're done being a d.1ck here you can go and see what happens if you pay yourself less than the NI threshold and the rest in dividends.

Err, I am saying that I would be insulted if my fiance refused my name - you husband is obviously okay with it.
*facepalm*
Anyone else feel like they're talking to a brick wall here?
I'll just be going now, to have an intelligent conversation with someone who knows what it is to respect women; my husband to be.

Marrying my lovely man on 1st September 2012
