If neither of you learned anything from the old thread, I did; and I'm not going to again get drawn into endless personal dialogues that nobody else wants to read.
Particularly now you have degenerated from simply misrepresenting what I write to actively forging quotes by me in order to discredit them.grayme-m wrote:Cobra wrote:Same old rant.
Go on plumbing those depths, if you wish, but this time I'll leave you to it. I don't want to wallow in that sewer, thanks. The only thing that I want out of this is find out how to obtain unpaid cashback.
The name of the topic, incidentally, is "The Mobile Outlet", so it's pretty broad.
Can we at least get back to that, instead of pursuing personal attacks?
Has anybody got any some more useful and constructive input about The Mobile Outlet, and their dealings with it, that they would be kind enough to share, so we can get this thread back on track?0 -

Oh the irony! :rolleyes:Cobra wrote:Cobra wrote:I never wrote that! Anywhere. Do a search. If you need to sink to doing this, you're seriously sad. :eek:Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -

Information about TMO, anyone?0 -
(PS, Gunjack, have you noticed the degree to which your signature is out of kilter to what you are posting?)
Cobra - not at all. If it were a.n. other company that just went out of business and I didn't get my money back, then fair enough. I was bitten like this over the last year with Just3G going bust. 2 contracts through them, but some you win, some you lose. However, I see positive things happening on here from TMO in trying to sort stuff out. I also see TMO's involvement in this forum makes it LESS likely that I'll get ripped off. Time will tell...........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -

I'm sorry if I was a little exhasperated with you, GunJack, and I really do hope you receive your cashback when it falls due this week.
It's just that when you steel yourself and plough through all 40 pages of the old thread you see, time after time, these air-stewardess type messages of re-assurance from TMO (who at TMO?) that everything is being fixed and then these are followed by posting after posting, for months on end, from people complaining that they haven't been. And it's the same story on other mobile 'phone websites about TMO.
Maybe you've read them and maybe you haven't. I just felt that you were giving TMO too much credence, given its track record. It's right to give first-time offenders a second chance but serial offenders always say that they have learned the error of their ways and that "this time" they'll go straight... but seldom do.
I saw you, perhaps, in the same way that somebody holding a plausable defendant's long criminal record sheet in court observes a kindly juror who is blissfully unaware of it.
I think we all know know where we stand by now: some of us are prepared to cajole our cashbacks out of TMO and give them a leniency that TMO does not afford US over deadlines; others of us take a harder line and react to an overdue deadline with the same intransigence as does TMO itself; and one of us thinks that the best way to ensure he gets his cashbacks is to ingratiate himself with TMO by posting fawning things about it on websites before he has to submit his first claim.
We don't want to see this thread get closed down, too, so let's just agree to differ and to follow the course that we each think is best, without any further recriminations or personal attacks.
The thing that's important is that we all share our knowledge and information among the rest of us, so that we can each use it, in our own preferred way, to ensure that, one way or the other we ALL get our cashbacks. (Even you know who.)
That's the whole ethic of Money Saving Expert and of :A Martin Lewis :A himself, to empower people with the necessary information to assist themselves - and to give them the encouragement and confidence to do so.

1. Which sites - name your sources or be quiet!
2. I have been through that long thread, very many times Cobra, and I see TMO attempting to resolve nearly every genuine query that it's possible to answer (those that have gone beyond the scope of that process, obviously are just people reporting on their experience - which we have to draw our own conclusions from, filling in the gaps). You always try to win a point with ambiguity.
3. This is called flame baiting Cobra - you say something to wind someone up and get a response
4. You at your ironic best
5. Flaim bait number 2
I want the truth Cobra. I can 'infer' for myself and don't need you to tell me what I should be thinking thankyou very much.
What I want to know is, why the hell did you take out a contract with TMO?? Why didn't you go for one of the safer companies like e2save for a lesser deal? That really puzzles me. I took out the contract after a lot of research here and elsewhere, and knew what I was getting into. Apparently you didn't??
Now more flamebaiting from our favourite optimist...0 -

Here's my response: it expresses my view (which is why I posted it).Cobra wrote:.

I'm off abroad for a month in a couple of days' time. To put things in perspective, this will cost ten and more times the price of a little mobile 'phone contract. I hope you'll all still be here when I get back and won't have got this thread closed down, too, with endless pages of mutual backstabbing (and forgery) in my absence. Try to be constructive.
I'm very grateful to Alec2006 for his marvellous posting on Page One which explains how to use the Small Claims Court and if the cashback hasn't arrived by the time I get back, that's the route I'll go.
The original invoices finally came back today in their SAE! Can't make out the postmark but they're well overdue. No apology and, needless to say, no cashback enclosed!
I'll leave "mar<" to tell you some of the other fora on which you can find those many threads of complaint about TMO - he's registered on them! But I don't suppose it will assist his own cause with TMO to draw your attention to them. You'll probably have to do a Google seach.
Try to be nice to each other.(Even to poor "mar<")

Hi Folks
