I have an uneasy premonition that the excuse "unfortunately, some cashback payments have gone astray in the BACS system..." may become a feature of this thread, come Spring.

Got my confirmation e-mails today from TMO, first to say they had my docs, posted 29th Jan, and second to say my claim was successful and they would be in touch about payment. All from a quick e-mail to the forum queries team.

Thanks TMO, hopefully I'll be a completely happy customer when thae payment is made :D

All those people now hoping for a BACS payment, have The Mobile Outlet asked you for your account details to pay the money into?

It is not something that you send in with your claim. Could it be another delaying tatic? Maybe, just Maybe.

Maybe, though they may just use the same bank details that you gave when you bought your phone and set up the DD?

It is possible, but I paid with my credit card, and my direct debit is set up with Virgin, not The Mobile Outlet.

How do The Mobile Outlet know that you have not changed bank account details since? This is something that can easily be remedied, but for those that are waiting for cashback now or in the next few weeks, you need to question them.

I have not been e-mailed by them to explain these new circumstances, they e-mailed me when their phone lines went down at christmas, so I know they have my address.

I may be a doubting Thomas, but I have a right to be.
