Yeh, paying £35 overall would be alright with me - I got a free phone and a free contract.
They recommend Special Delivery - TMO can use that against you if you dont comply.
Also, I am hoping that the things get lost - thats a 1000 quid for me :P0 -

An open question for the forum team:
Can we send in copy bills or do they have to be originals? I've seen that you have said this on another forum - and would just like to know if this is still the case.
Also, is there any way that you can guarantee this will be ok?
Many thanks
mark
Hi,
Copies are now accepted.

Post #416, so in fact next time I'll probably just send in copies first time round, if it doesn't get there first time then I'll resend more copies.Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -

I think I would go the other way round and send in originals and keep copies as backup, as you don't want them to say we never said that in our terms and conditions.
I sent in originals a few weeks ago by Special Delivery so am awaiting an email response. However after reading post #13 I am still optimistic.0 -
When I sent my claim for my first stage of cashback I also photocopied the T&C's, Bill summary sheets and the despatch note.
I then sent the originals of all the above documents with a cover note explaining what I am claiming for. I sent this via Special Delivery with consequential (£5.35).
Approx 2 weeks later a confirmation was received saying that all documents have been received and my claim has been accepted. It also stated to wait 28 days from claim date to receive money via cheque/BACS.
Cheque arrived 32 days after I posted the documents.

You are not required to send the itemised pages of your bill. The top page of your bill will suffice.

Hi all,
Just got my first bill from my network provider (Orange).
Can someone just remind me (without trawling through the locked post) the following:
I have received my bill, they are asking for part of my 1st months payment (from when I took out the contract) and all of my 2nd months payment in one go.
Do I need four bill head sheets to send ( if i'm doing the 5 payment method) or does this 1st bill count for 2 bills?
Hope this makes sense!

I had the same situation with my 1st bill being for part of the previous month and the whole of the next months rental. This counted as one bill. I physically sent MO the first 4 bills I received.
And received my cashback without a problem.0 -
The crazy thing is that for me, the Dispatch note is one sided, and the other note, the welcome letter has T&C's at the back...
Hopefully, it wont make a difference...

A court will enforce your rights under the Terms & Conditions of your contract with the company.
The Terms & Conditions that apply to your contract are those that were in force on the day you bought your 'phone.
If those Terms & Conditions require you to send in originals and you elect to send in copies instead, you haven't complied with them.
Postings on here don't alter your Terms & Conditions (and how would you set about proving to a court that the person posting them on here actually IS The Mobile Outlet or is entitled to speak on its behalf?)
Some situations may arise (e.g. a screw-up by the network or a postal dispute) in which, for reasons beyond your control, you never receive your original invoice. In such circumstances, if you can prove that this occurred, a court might take a lenient view of your predicament - and the posting from The Mobile Outlet could perhaps assist your cause. But it should only be used as a last resort by those who are unable to furnish the company with originals.
Choosing voluntarily to send in copies, when the originals are available to you and your Terms & Conditions specify originals, is a dangerous strategy.
So said my solicitor, over a beer. (He is most grateful to me for warning him off an online retailer which shall remain nameless - and, before anybody asks, he wasn't able to advise me about Small Claims Court procedure because he has no knowledge of it!)0 -
