Go to 'Consumer Direct' and follow their procedure to complain. After the 28 days TMO say to expect to receive it, you need to follow up with a letter or phone call (letter is better as you have evidence) saying 'where is it', and if no response to that then I'd suggest another 2 weeks then an official letter saying 'if no response in 2 weeks then legal action'. Basically you have to give them a reasonable chance to respond before you threaten legal action. The Consumer Direct site is excellent... thanks to whoever recommended them a few pages ago!

How long do you leave it before threatening legal action?

    What contact have you tried?

For my first cashback I emailed them on their forumqueries email address (a few times to be honest), but didn't threaten just asked.

    hi

I ordered a motorola krzr (silver) from the mobile outlet on the 23rd March on Orange.

It said "asign stock" for a couple of weeks.

I phoned them up a few times and they said they were out of stock.

It appears they finally got a delivery this week as when tracking my account on thursday it said that the order had been despatched. I then received an email from them saying the same.

I got my phone this morning via special delivery at 7:45 am (!!! still in bed!!!).

So my phone has arrived. I have also put my despatch note somewhere safe so that I can claim my cashback!

In short - depending on the phone you ordered it seems there may be some delay in getting your phone. However, mine has arrived - eventually.

    hope that offers some reassurance.

after the replies i decided i will give TMO a chance

so i've sent my cashback claim to them. they signed for the delivery early in the week.

i asked them to email me to confirm it is being processed but so far no reply.

i have a feeling i will end up with nothing?

    You may be surprised

Give them time, if you don't receive your cashback in 28 days, there is full instructions on page 1 of this thread of the next action to take.

My query was that my cashback I received was only £94.50 as opposed to my calculated £112.50.

I decided to phone them instead.

The reason being is that they pay the cashback in 4 equal installments regardless of how many bills you send in at a time.

So seen as my first 3 months are £22.50 each and the remainder are £45, this amount of £94.50 is indeed correct. As it is 1/4 of the yearly bill.

I do find this a bit tight though, as if you fail to get the next set of bills in on time then you effectively lose £18 from the first cashback amount.

Another loophole they try to get you by!!
  • i emailed them a fewdays ago, i asked them if i need to send in the 11th and 12th bills separetly they said yes. does this mean i follow the old terms and conditions?
