if you took a company to court and lost, what do you really loose? I read earlier that they cannot claim solicitors fees... so is it worth doing ?

The small claims court is designed for 'the average Joe' to deal with.
As such, it only deals with small value claims, that do not need the representation of a lawyer. If you file a claim online, it only costs £30. so that is all you have to lose.

In theory, you could have costs awarded against you if you lost, but it would have to be exceptional circumstances.

I am due for my first cash back. I just need a confirmation that along with original despatch note, do I need to send ALL the pages of the bills or only the 1st page? I tried to phone TMO today but can't wait for so long on 0870 number.

    Thanks

Play it safe and send all pages.

They have also written that they do need all pages and seem reluctant to confirm finally one way or the other.

Take copies too, and send at least recorded delivery (many advocate Special Delivery with conseqential loss insurance). This may sound obvious, but there are examples of people not doing so.

  • I've asked TMO this question numerous times and have received numerous slightly different responses from Customer services, the Forum Query Team and Cashback Team.

Some have said the 1st page is fine, others say they want the whole bill.

Has anyone successfully claimed by just sending in the 1st pages of their bills?

PS. Don't waste your money on the phone, they tend to reply within 48 hours, just E-mail all 3 points of contact (Customer services, Forum Queries (PM) + Cashback team) to maximise your chance of response.

I opted out of itemisation of my bills because it was costing me extra so I only send the first page in which details the line rental and have been successful so far!

    Need more help please!

I'm due to claim my first instalment as soon as i receive my latest bill. As I'll be claiming for 2 phones, I've decided to play it safe and send the 2 claims separately.

However I'll obviously need a copy of each bill and I've received mixed responses (déjà vu!) about the acceptability of photocopies from TMO; I can get a copy from T-mobile, but it'll cost be £2.50 per bill.

Alternatively, does anyone know if it's ok to print the bills off my T-mobile online account and send them?

How safe should I play it?

    Thanks.

I sent the first page in for my contract and I got my cheque. My dad also did the same and sent the first page in and got his cheque as well. They only need to see your address and contract details that you have not downgraded your contract. I doubt they wanna have a look at all the calls you have made!

You can't send print outs of your online bills, I had this confirmed by TMO, they told me that they need copies from my mobile provider, it should've cost £1.50 per bill from vodafone but they gave me the first set for free! I really don't mind having to pay for the bills IF I get my cashback!

I haven't seen this query posted anywhere so I'm hoping TMO or something else might be able to assist me.

My bill date is 1st of the month and my bill dated 1 March is my 12th bill. Its now 13 March and I'm getting close to the deadline for when TMO require my final claim. I've contacted my network provider 3, who have said that I should have received my bill already.

Is there anything that can be done if I don't receive it on time as its no-one's fault? Well Royal Mail probably are.......but that's another post!
