  • Well what can i say, i come on here on a regular basis, mainly to read what is going on, i have to say that this thread alone has made me want to register so i can air my views.
I cannot believe how some of you have taken to taring shreds of this poor girl who has come on here to seek advice, yes she may not have done straight away what some of you believe she should do, but why does that make her a liar?
I am a 55 year old man, and have worked with an individual similar to what she is describing, and they way he treated some staff was appauling, and yes i had to find other employment quite literally within a day. It is possible.
With the amount of years this person has in one job only working for 2 companies, or 3 i think she should be commended, if she wasn't worthy of working with then she would not have been with them companies for as long as she was.
I say congratulations on taking yourself from the situation, getting a new job, rather than being a "sponger" as the word may be, congratulations to helping the economy in working, and i wish you every success in your new role, hopefully without working with a bully.
Have you ever thought those that are back biting on here are very similar bullies at work themselves, so thats why they don't see it as an issue?
    Good luck

Well I hope you do a better job of proving your ex employer's behaviour to HR then you have on here.

So I take it you were advised by "proper" qualified proffesionals (if your trying to claim constructive dismissal) that your grievance should have been raised before you resigned.
It's better to regret something I did do than to regret something that I didn’t. :EasterBun
  • Actually if someone is still registered as employed by a company as they are within their notice period then that is fine.
I cannot beleive how negative and rude so many of you are, she is not on here to prove it to you, but just wanted advice.
Also from reading the posts I do believe she wasn't dismissed,as she clearly stated she resigned.
But I wouldn't want to get into a debate on the the fact you have that wrong.
What more proof does this ladie need, other than emails, phone messages and the like, that's damn good evidence if you ask me.
I suppose she should count her lucky stars that all you so called professionals dont actually deal in HR where she works, it seems you all find it normal to be taunted over your size,to a point it no longer becomes s joke but hurtful, to have someone in tears and screaming at them, and using offensive language whilst they are sat by them, whilst also telling someone that they are out of order for getting upset about the death of their grandfather, so are you all saying that that is acceptable in employment? I think not, and why is it apparently all lies?
  • Nowhere on here does it say that all users MUST take the advice given and act on it...the OP is free to take the advice or ignore it. I'm sure she could do without all the nastiness just because she didn't do what you wanted her to do.
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

Lots more if she wishes to go to an ET, as I have explained multiple times.

In terms of CD however she has now mitigated her losses by finding another job, so it may not be worth the pain of the case for the settlement she would get.

  • I think she has done all she needed to do, fortunately she must be a good worker to not have come across these unfortunate events before.
I am still in disbelief at how some peoples attitudes are on here when people are asking for help, people are entitled to be a little scared about a new situation, and are allowed to be unsure of what to do next, i didn't see any of you telling the lady involved that any of you were professionals?
Maybe if one of you had explained that you were "qualified" it may have helped the situation.
Heres hoping none of you ever find yourselves in a similar situation and are deemed scammers/lairs and are treated in such a manner as this poor individual has been

No point declaring qualifications as there is no way of checking them!

You are makin sweeping generalisations about "you" like we are an amorphous blob of gesthalt. I find that offensive. Still, you have chosen to white knight, good luck to you.

  • i have chosen to "white knight" as you so put it as eveyone else was calling this poor person a liar, scammer and the like, she was clearly upset with some issues at work, and wanted some advice, not people making her feel worse, but you have all done a good job of that, i am sorry of you fond the word "you" offensive, however the lady who posted this may well be offended at a fair amount of things that have been said to her on here.

Don't get too excited people, this is clearly a wind up.

I always get suspicious when a very new member raises a contentious question (cynical of me I know ......).

Post 5 should have raised alarm bells : "its not a mean hard sell, we are speaking to managing directors of companies having intelligent converstionsm".

I wasn't aware that there were any rules about what can be someones first post can be on the forum?
Go figure, maybe i had better look into it before asking my first question, wouldn't want anyone to be accussed of slander after calling me a liar or a scammer now would i:rotfl:
  • if he gets aggressive again call the police, explain to your manager you where scared for your life, he probs aint popular, the police will ask others way happened. he will get a criminal record and have to leave
