Don't get too excited people, this is clearly a wind up.
I always get suspicious when a very new member raises a contentious question (cynical of me I know ......).
Post 5 should have raised alarm bells : "its not a mean hard sell, we are speaking to managing directors of companies having intelligent converstionsm".
I don't know why people bother asking questions if they are not really in a lose job situation, there maybe some people that really are in the situation and really need help and having a neutral person see what they cannot could make a difference. It's better to regret something I did do than to regret something that I didn’t. :EasterBun0 -
well thank you for all the ranting and none believing from many of you, at the end of the day i never said i wasn't taking anyones advice, neither did i know that you were all qualified in employment law!! i thought that there were many people on the forum like myself, take a job that turms out bad due to a bully, i wouldn't waste my time "making up a story" to put on a forum, i doubt anyone would, unless they really are sad, yes i do have another job and yes i did hand my notice in and no longer work for them, thanks to the replies that were kind and kind of understood my worry in paying my bills, obviously some people do not have that problem so can do what on earth they like, don't think this is a forum i will post again, when you just get slated for worrying about how to pay your martgage and bills! maybe i should just let them not pay me, get behind with my mortgage, have my house taken off me and have it all paid for by tax payers, maybe then everyone would be happy, can't win these days0

Yes your right perhaps this isn't the place for you to post questions.
1) Some people that took the time out to answer you ARE qualified in employment law
2) I find it amazing how on the (13th) yesterday you resign then today (14th) you already have another job
3) Tax payers wouldn't be paying your bills as you resigned and already have a job
And by the way I don't even know why you asked a question if you're going to get upset that strangers on a website don't agree with how you have gone about things. It's better to regret something I did do than to regret something that I didn’t. :EasterBun0 -

I think perhaps you are what I would class as "unemployable" OP. Doesn't matter where you work, you will look for opportunities to moan about how you are treated. And i also think you have told us a story consisting of lies, half truths and the "situation as agreed with your story".
So good luck with the new job that appeared over night. I hope I never have to work with you.
NB - all of the above is my opinion....MINE!.....and I'm entitled ot it on a public forum. Understand the rules of broadcasting across the internet if you cannot take the varied opinions of the rest of the world. It is a very big place with people who have come across situations and people that you probably cannot imagine.0 -
I have skimmed through most of this thread and didn't bother to read all the comments, so apologies if I've missed the point or the detail of the issues.
I just wanted to respond to some of the comments that have appeared latterly. It seems people were criticising the OP for not taking their advice regarding reporting all of this to HR.
Just for a little balance... some things are easier said than done and people can't really comment on what another person is going through or what difficulties they face in real life.
From domestic violence to workplace bullying, there are usually other factors at play, such as diminishing self esteem which makes the victim feel useless and makes them believe that they would end up worse off if they left. In this case it appears that the OP was worried about repossession if she suddenly found herself out of a job. Reading between the lines, I would say she was insecure about her ability to get another job.
As for "lying" on a public forum. Who seriously gives a blow by blow accurate account of what has happened? Most people deliberately change certain facts in order preserve their anonymity. The OP's recent protestations of suddenly finding new employment and leaving her old workplace, seem more like a need to defend herself against the accusations of being a troll, on this thread, than reality. Perhaps another indication of her lowered self esteem, if she feels the need to gain approval from strangers on public forum?
I'm just saying that it's not always black and white, people do get trapped in toxic relationships and find themselves unable to get out. If it was easy to deal with such things, then bullying would not exist.0 -

I wondered the same thing. Was a response ever posted?0 -
i did not find a job overnight, i knew for the past couple of weeks i had to get out of there,so had been searching, and was willing to take a job as long as it paid my bills, rather than being a sponger, but it came to a point that if i hadn't found work i was goint ot have to leave as being upset daily was not what i sugned up to.
To have a grown man make me cry in an office because of my grandads death, and swearing at me, is not something i was going to lie about, i am 33 years old and started working age 15 and have never ever been out of employment, in them 18 years i have worked in only 3 places,i of which i did s a student,in the last 13 years i have worked in only 2 places, which i hope proves i do not go to work to moan, i only "moan" about something if i need to, i am not a job hopper, or trouble maker,i am sure if someone else was going through what i am right now they would have a moan, if thats the word you want to use, do you think it was nice to go into work every day, and dread every last minute of it, all because if the fear as to what kind of abuse was going to be hurled at you next!i have never at any point stated that people are not entitled to their opinions either, so no one has any need to get on their high horses about opinions, we all know we are entilted to our own, more fool me for using this forum for the first time, thinking it was somewhere helpful and understanding, you must be joking, people are now insinuating that i am the bad person for asking if i have a right to take a grievence forward, i have never had a work problem before ever, so it was all new to me, wish i hadn't bithered asking0 -
and the reason we do not all contact the same MD's is that we all have a relevant section, ie. international law, agriculture, renewable energy, etc, so we would be contacting companies relevant to our section, just because people would like to know the response, it has been dealt with now anyway, and 5 of us that statred have all left for the same reasons, and here is my opinion, NO i am not a liar, and no i am making stories up, however the person above got parts right, that at the moment i am at a very low point, after having some of the things said to me that i did, having every ounce of confidence i had taken away0

and to set the record straight on the new job situation, as i knew i was unhappy there for a while then i have had to look for other jobs, up until Monday i still had the manager begging me on the phone not to leave and not to got to HR, which made it worse, and i knew he wanted to stop me going to HR badly, i sent him my email of resignation, explained all the reasons of why, even though he knew, and he rang me and asked me to send my notice in, and not to mention any of what had happened as HR would ask what i meant, so i sent it and have had help now from acas, at this point i had been offered 2 other jobs after searching previously, so i took one, if i hadn't been offered a job and i had left, and in turn could not pay my bills and lost my house then no doubt i would get given one, but that is not me, i want to work for what i have, not help in bleeding the country drier than it already is0

i give up, you lot are as bad as them, just ranting and raving, and taking the mick, this is a genuine case, if you think its not then so be it, today i have put in a grieveance with HR, i have copies of emails sent, and voicemails left by my manager, asking me not to go to HR so as not to get him into trouble, and after "proper" advice from qualified proffesionals(unlike people on here, who thinks there opinion warrents them being qualified in employment law, just because they enjoy posting on a forum and think and assume everyone is lying, unfortunately i wish i was lying then none of this would really matter, but it did happen and its hapened to me) and putting a case forward, and due to lots of other things that HR have seen and heard today i have a very good case, so there you go all you "none believers" you obviously spend too much time with people who can make up such lies for you to think that every one does0
