Firefox 10 Vs Internet Explorer 9

I've found Firefox + Win7 to be much more stable than XP + Firefox. Admittedly I'm still on 9.0.1, but a crash is a very rare thing.
+1 for Palemoon.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
Your Mileage May Vary
Originally used in car adverts, now a netspeak term meaning "this is my experience, yours may be different"
Dave
Ahhh, right! I've never seen that in car adverts, though... Surely YMMV would appear to a specific journey rather than a car itself... I don't get it! :huh:0 -
I like firefox more than IE.but ie can Compatible more software.0

Firefox over IE any day. If not for the basics stated above then just for the fact that it is fully HTML5 and CSS3 compatible so there is no issues when viewing sites. The same can be said for Chrome, Opera, and even Safari (although Opera and Safari aren't fully supporting the new standards yet, but they aren't far off).
IE is an absolute pain when it comes to creating websites. 90% of the time you spend making work arounds for IE so 'looks' how it should do on a normal browser0 -
Firefox is better than Internet Explorer. I have experienced a few software issues with Firefox in the past, although, with the amount of regular updates Firefox has, these issues are dealt with fast.0

I fail to see any usability issues with it here. What makes it a pig to use?0 -
Because in general, i find people like to ignore the actual question at hand & instead they like to push what they use on to everyone else.
If you ask for Budweiser or Stella & someone drinks Carling, they'll bang on all day long about how great Carling is even though you're not interested. Yes it may be the best thing for you ... but nobody cares.
Folk just don't get it though.
I personally prefer FireFox. Much better all round than IE. Faster i find too.
I hate Chrome.
No, you don't get it. It is absolutely nothing like the example you quoted about the lager. When you're going to be doing your online banking and other sensitive stuff where it is possible to compromise your data and steal log in information you want the most secure browser. Chrome is currently the most secure browser.0 -
Firefox is far more secure.
For example, a forum I administrate was hacked and contained malware.
The posters who used Firefox were warned by their browser not to visit.
The posters with Internet Explorer received no such warning.Hi. I'm a Board Guide on the Gaming, Consumer Rights, Ebay and Praise/Vent boards. I'm a web developer. Switch to Google Chrome. Much more responsive and not as bloated.0
