I use FF and chrome, and my experience is chrome and FF are basically the exact same speed loading websites (nowadays all browsers are so fast that something is wrong if it takes a noticeable amount of time to load a page), both are rock solid browsers and never crash.
but what I have found is chrome becomes a dog to use with multiple tabs open, I can have 60 tabs open using ~2GB of RAM and firefox responds and works the same as if I only had one open, whereas chrome starts becoming unusable and very bogged down after about 7 tabs and 200MB of RAM used. (both on the same 4GB system)
I like how chrome has Flash built in so you never have to update it and I especially like how it has its own PDF reader, but because of the tab issue FF is my daily driver and chrome is just used to stay signed into gmail/twitter ect. but I wouldn't use the browser that is kept signed into my accounts as my 'general surfing' browser anyway.
as for security they are both about the same, an unmodified version (no add-ons) they both can be hacked, but add ABP and No Script (Not script for chrome) and both will be much more secure, plus remember a lot of browser security comes from user awareness ie use a little common sense0 -

Neither. Both dumb down the user experience (especially if they have no idea anyway) far too much.
Firefox 3.6 still does everything I want with the use of Addons (most of which won't work in FF5+).0 -
Ahhh, right! I've never seen that in car adverts, though... Surely YMMV would appear to a specific journey rather than a car itself... I don't get it!
United States litigation at work again. It's a standard disclaimer in US car adverts.

I wouldn't want to risk using it after that, so it's better to bite the bullet and update to Firefox 10 now imo.0 -

What makes you think that Chrome is the most secure? Surely it can't be more secure than Lynx?!
Do you have a link to the tests or analysis of technical features that prove that Chrome is the most secure browser?0 -

Take your pick of security articles. Sure its not as secure as Lynx but then again this isn't 1993 and web pages have these things called images. You'd not be able to do online banking on it with most banks.
Here is Lynx and Firefox showing the same page:0
