looks like its going to be too cold for snow here for a few days... I didn't realise how cold it was when I left the house this morning, but realised it after three hours outside with two children! I think I might just about have defrosted now, and need to light the fire. Tonight I will be catching up on the work I didn't get done while babysitting

Thanks Dusty! I think you are right. It mainly is in the bathroom and DD's room.
I have instructed OH to fit a fan in the bathroom.
DD says she won't open the window as she is scared of the spiders!:o To reassure her I have promised to make a 'spider screen' to go over the window, this idea seems to be agreeable to her so hopefully it shouldn't keep happening. :rotfl: Pay One Debt 2012! challenge #67 - £235.07 / £375.18 :T0 -
Been busy with paid work this past couple of days, so I'm playing catch up again. Going to mop the kitchen this evening and a bit more dot-to-dot of the mess in my office room. Did really well this weekend in shredding loads of papers to make room to store the stuff that's just heaped up everywhere. But still a lot to do in that room before dusting & hoovering are feasible.
Window cleaner came round for payment this evening. I pointed out to him that he had not cleaned the upstairs windows, and in the kitchen he had only cleaned the bottom two of the four panes. Very obvious to me because I cleaned the insides of kitchen and bedroom windows last week. After a bit of 'I can't have...' he admitted that he 'probably didn't do them' and that he'd only charge me half price this month. Pointed out that I'd rather pay full price and have the windows all done. He said to only pay half but he'll try and pop back to do them tomorrow. I'm not living in too much hope. But pleased that I said something to him.

Am plucking up the courage to start again. Was a regular here about 4 years ago just before I got really ill and then it was operations and moving house and then building a new business. House is a tip now as new kitchen being done at last (the old was falling through the floor- literally!) so once builders have moved out things *should* be easier.
Hope I am welcome to join in again
And I am still a Stardrops fan! 0 -
Not managed to get anything done today as I have been out all day. Hoping to get something done tomorrow!0

Natty, welcome back and I hope things are onwards and upwards for you x
I haven't managed to do any flying since Monday. I managed to have my meeting with my boss today and although I don't have any more answers to my problems/questions at least he knows how I am feeling. I really didn't want to go into work this morning but I didn't feel so bad when I left. I kind of know where to move on from here and have another interview next week to hopefully push my career on a bit more. I need to start preparing myself for some possible tough interviews through the year, most of which is just finding about me but I am not sure what else. I need to try and find someone I trust who has been in the same position to get some advice from. I work in a real dog-eat-dog world where if you are even slightly interested in doing more than sitting back and letting life pass you by then you are strange and are often treated differently, almost like you can't be trusted. Sounds strange but it is true. I wanted to ring my dad yesterday for a moan but resisted the urge, I'm still going to ring him as he may be able to help me with my preparations.
Anyway, sorry for blabbering but it helps, I guess we must all be therapists of sorts for each other on here
I will be doing minimal flying for the rest of the week, hoping for all level 1s, anything else is a bonus. MFW 2025 No. 7 £1931.07/£2700
