Thanks to all you lovelies I can see my craft table. It's not quite clear enough to sit at but it's a big big step in the right direction. Can't believe I've only been doing your lists for two and a half weeks and yet can see huge improvements:-) I have no idea how you knew about my baking cupboard Dusty but it's sparklingly organised thanks to you:-) And my bathroom has never looked so good!! Please keep up the good work it's so inspiring.

Although there are way too many poorlies needing support at this time:(

Love to everybody who needs it and welcome back to the lady who been AWOL do to illness. Hopefully we can keep each other going and get through together :) Come on now Ed we are waiting.

    Evening

Nice to see you back Natty, positive vibes for ajmoney and a bucketload of sympathy for the lovely pigpen. Obviously there are more hugs and healing vibes to give out but those seem in great need along with wakey uppy vibes for Ed (any news Dusty).

Think I'll be back to work tomorrow but happy with what Ive achieved over the last 2 days as our room was a room of doom and is a whole lot better (although not finished yet). The hall although is a different matter until Friday when the charity bags are due for collection. There are now 6 bags for the air ambulance, 2 for the charity shop, 1 general rubbish for the tip, one electricals for the tip and 1 clothing rubbish for the tip, plus I have put about 3 bags in the general and recycling bins. Oh and 1 bag of shoes and handbags. When I finish that room I can start on the spare room/office and then there'll only be the attic :rotfl: anyone remember the attic pictures, that wont be counting bags, it'll be counting skips. Oh and I finally boxed up all the Xmas decs from where theyd been dumped in our room and theyve gone in the attic.

It felt good LameWolf - thank you :D

Right cuppa and bed. Night all xx:cool:
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!
  • Morning all :)

Museumworker Good luck with the scan today :D

Thank you Jovi, the scan went really well - all measurements show baby as healthy as can be hoped :D:j. Baby also colluded with my desire to have a 'surprise' by keeping its back to us, so the sonographer (?) couldn't tell us what it was :T. A surprise it is then :D.

  • museumworker - glad the scan went well. I had one today too - not as exciting as yours! (ovaries, internal scan - ouch). Just lie here and look at the dolphins on the ceiling, I told myself!

Have done no Flying today, as went to Bristol for the scan, did a bit of shopping while I was there, ate my packed lunch on the train home, got the bus up here, threw my bags in the house and rushed off to my weekly art class. Got home and cooked myself a meal, then spent the evening watching the Radio 2 Folk Awards (yes, I did watch the radio! - found Radio 2 on the telly, then clicked the red button and there was the live transmission.) June Tabor and Oyster Band got 3 awards. She was wearing a beautiful patchwork velvet coat - I could make one like that, I thought!

(Only came on here to see what tomorrow's Flying consists of, so will now go to bed - goodnight all!)
Keeping two cats and myself on a small budget, and enjoying life while we're at it!

Doing my list update whilst feeding Ben, didn't get much done yesterday but had a good catch up with my friend. Peed off with sainsburys though as I now have to go out my way today as they sent me 2 packs of the wrong baby milk and one of the packs had been opened  so will see what the store says, customer services said no issues with returning it and getting it exchanged, but Im not holding my breath that it's going to be hassle free given that one pack was open!

I'm going to strip my bed this morning as well as soon as DD gets out of it so I can put it in the WM before I go to work. I might make a start on tonight's tea as well actually but I'll see.

Morning everyone, up bright and early this morning. Well sort of..lol My alarm was set for 6am and also DH woke me up before he went out the door to work. I did wake up to drink my tea, stroke the cat and reset my alarm for 8.am. Thank gods I had done that.. Anyway am up and about now - just sorting myself out before I head of to my Thursday STAIRWAYS group. Then doing lunch afterwards :D

Thank you all for the welcome back and for those awaiting birdie stories, here is the first one for ages. I purposely stood and watched them while making my cuppa :D Although it did help that I had just gone out and fed them..so there were more than normal..lol

Anyway we had our usual suspects of starlings and sparrows. OMG I cannot believe how cheeky the starlings are getting - they are there as the feed hits the various feeders, one even sits on the table waiting for me to put the food on it so it can have his breakfast there and then. I reakon if I encouraged him he would take it from the scoop :D We also had the usual fights amongst the starlings and sparrows but thankfully the sparrows won :j Mr and Mrs Hoody Blackbird have been down for their breakfast. For some reason Mrs Hoody insists on eating hers on the old compost heap in the corner behind the forsythia bush, on the snow. Weird bird, but to make her happy I threw a few suet pellets round there for her and she was a happy birdy when she found them :D Mr Hoody doesn't care, he eats where he finds food :D Although he has been having fun on the snowy veg plot - can't believe there is still snow in the garden. Although my weather thingy says it is still only -1 out there - I suppose because the sun is shining I think it's hotter..lol:j

Mr and Mrs Dove are very loved up for some reason - they are doing their usual side by side feeding on the higher flat feeder and woe betide any bird that comes within 3 foot of them..lol. Mr Dove has already seen off another Dove that dared to come in the garden the other day. Not sure if these are our original ones or offspring of the offspring..but they are surely happy in the garden. Oh it was so sweet afterwards as they flew up to the tree at the bottom of the garden, sat on their favourite branch and started kissing and necking each other. It was quite sweet to watch, then they started preening and cleaning each other. I think they are definately in love :)

Mr Woody Woodpigeon has aquired himself a mate rather early - I think he got confused with the weather the other month and decided to find himself a female :D Now they are in the garden together, pecking on the ground together - basically doing everything in tandem. It's quite sweet to watch, like watching two overgrown teenagers :rotfl:

Asbo is keeping away this morning for some reason, he'll probably come down while I'm out. He's like that..a law onto himself!! We'll see more of him when he has found a mate, although we think he might have one already because sometimes there is another robin with him. Which is very strange as they are solitary birds normally and chase any other robins off their territory. And we know it's our Asbo robin as he has the white streak down the side of him that only our robin had. :D

And there you have it - this mornings bird news at chez Butt :D

seafarers_wife hope you managed to get back to sleep after Ben was fed. Can't imagine getting up at that hour to do feeds, letting the dogs out at 1am is bad enough..lol
julie I hope you manage to catch up on your kip too, I don't know how you can get that much done at that time of the morning. Yet saying that I used to get stuff done at silly hour too. Oh for those days again :D We also have two daft dogs that insist on getting us up at silly hour too - well I say us, it's normally DH as I am asleep..unless Jet wants me to get up. Then he bounces all over me..ugh!!

Eeeks only half an hour to go and I need to wolf down some breakfast..ack!!
