I found one thanks, first I got a temporary one (so I was still applying for jobs while working there), then it was made permanent after about 6 months. Thanks are you getting closer to finding a job?
Even if you want a perm job, still apply for the temp ones, a temp job is better than no job.0 -

Well on my job form I am down for retail work.
But I have a degree in Film and tv, and recently have been doing part time bookkeeping and accounting qualifications.
I would rather not work in a shop as I hated it before.0 -
If I do that they will send me to interview technique sessions etc. It would be even worse if I told them how I felt.Well on my job form I am down for retail work.

Or look at it this way, you work to earn your own money Vs claiming JSA money
id rather be working even if its retail0 -
What about asking them at the work programme about doing some voluntary work with a charity or buisness doing that then accountancy or bookeeping. You coud do this for your placement whilst looking for jobs in this field.
All charities have a finance person and their own accounts, you may find a way in through this.0 -

Not for much longer he won't. You do realise that disability benefits are all changing too and people are being transferred to JSA and a version of the work programme?0 -
Hardly any. I have a degree and most employers don't like that. I lack experience other than 6 months in a clothes shop.
Well on the basis the reply I want to post would get me banned from this site all I will say is perhaps its the 'I've got a degree and therefore I'm better than any crappy old job' or the 'I've got a degree and I'm better than you and your crappy old job' attitide that's holding you back.
