Jobcentre "work placement" begins March. Help?

My personal adviser has told me that in March I will be put on the scheme "work placement" for 2 years.
I have read bad things about this and am thinking about signing off for a few days then gettng a rapid reclaim. Will this make my time at the jobcentre go back to day 1? Or will my previous claim continue?
Can I have feedback from anyone already on the Work Placement programme? Is it useful or is it just another jobcentre nightmare?

You need to sign off for two years before your claim is reset. Otherwise you go straight back to the work program.0

If you dont go on the work programme what else would you do ?
Why not give it a try, what you got to loose.
Cant comment about the WP but there are threads on here about them.0 -
