Jobcentre "work placement" begins March. Help?

My personal adviser has told me that in March I will be put on the scheme "work placement" for 2 years. I have read bad things about this and am thinking about signing off for a few days then gettng a rapid reclaim. Will this make my time at the jobcentre go back to day 1? Or will my previous claim continue? Can I have…
