Im back from work now, DD has just come back, my mum suffering with a headache, says she's loud! Really - I hadn't noticed! She's just chatty - lol. My mother is not the most maternal females around! Think she was expecting a pat on the back for having her GD for 5hrs today!
Not a clue whats for dinner later. Probably do an omlette for the kids.
Had to get friend at work to check my hair, Ive been itching all day, kids are clean and free from nits - and so am I. Cant understand why Im itching! Unless its the thought of it!
Right best be off, and iron clothes for tomorrow's wear.
Catch you all later
Bye for now

Afternoon all, It's abit breezy here in the North West, but, a least it blew a few cobwebs away when I played golf this morning.
OH and DD are both still 'resting' and I'm trying to decide where to begin.
Stuffed peppers for tea tonight and I'll try and get a few more things on Turbolister ready for Ebay.
Congratulations to Gingham, I hope your blood's back up to strength soon.
Hugs to all the poorly ones, keep warm and get better soon.
CoolTrikerChick, please have a look a quotes for the buildings insurance.

Hi everyone.
Gingham Ribbon Congratulations on your new addition to the family and make sure you don't do too much too soon. You've just had a major operation so let everyone else look after you!
To all that are unwell... take it easy, keep warm, rest and plenty to drink!
(Don't I sound bossy?)
Today is becoming quite a lazy day. Had a lie-in until we were woken up by youngest DD (age 6) singing along very loudly to her School of Rock CD. Then she decided to practise her drumming on her drum machine...she's turning into a proper little rocker!
At the moment the kids are playing outside on their bikes and we're having a curry tonight to celebrate DH's birthday which was on Monday, so I don't even have to cook. :j
Oh well I'll make the most of it because 99% of the time I'm usually busy!
Have a good (rest of the) day everyone.0 -
My stomach is churning and it's not the flu. I've dispatched DD1 and DS2 on the bus to the town with taxi money to get to the cinema. Images of child snatchers are behind my eyelids when I close my eyes. I'm over reacting they are very sensible and stick together when it matters. At school they ignore each other all day!
Doctor has been. Said I didn't need a doctor - I needed practical help:mad:
Baby girl is really hot - keeps being sick so can't keep calpol down. She's asleep now and I've sponged her down with damp flannels. She wants cuddles all the time but it makes her temperature higher. I'm finding it really hard to cope. DH is hopefully working from home tomorrow.
Thanks to those who have welcomed me and sent hugs. Its really nice here:D0 -
Afternoon everyone.
Not read all the thread yet so hope we are all doing ok??Hugs if not(((((((()))))))))))
Not done a lot today, as house is suprisingly tidy to say kids are at home, have been to lidl with all 4 in tow, what a nightmare, ever since they reduced their fruit and veg to half price the first ailse is a flipping nightmare!!The staff cant stock it up fast enough lol.
Tea tonight is bangers and mash with yorkshire puds with lots of onion gravy.
My internet has been upgraded for free to 8megs, my computer is on fire!!!Still no letter from bank regarding claiming charges back, i am getting quitely excited!!
Dh still feeling drunk, even though the flu symptoms gone and he hasnt had any tablets for 2 days now.He is back at work but feels rough, which means he comes home in bad mood, we hardly spoke last night!! But have just phoned him to ask what he wants for tea and he sounded ok, so maybe he will be more talkative tonight.

Hi sahmnx5 you seem to be having a *challenging* day today. It's hard to let your children explore the world on their own, isn't it. My DD will be 11 in May and wants to walk home from school on her own. It's a 20 minn walk and I am verrrrrrry reluctant to let her do it but I realise that she will be going to high school in September and needs to be used to doing things on her own. Still scary though.
I hope your poor little DD feels better very soon. Sponging down with tepid water is about all you can do when even Calpol won't stay down.
If things get too bad - make yourself some tea, sit down and take 5 minutes all to yourself. 5 minutes won't make much difference to your children but it could make all the difference to you. ((((hugs))))
bargainbabe Maybe you should buy a spare set so that you will still have some spares when the littles ones have done their stuff.
 I'm thinking of buying DS his very own set of dishes that he - and only he - will be responsible for. :rotfl: "Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Congrats Nana Lelc
and welcome to sahmx5.
congrats also to DLB.... 2 posts early, but just incase I miss it
Shez- shame you're not living closer as I'd love to give you a treatment. Hopefully you'll be able to do something similar? I remember when I started you'd left it a little late in the year to find out about courses - but after easter all the colleges should start running their open days and have their new prospectuses...... time to investigate???
Moggins - sorry to hear that you're poorly hun, and especially that you're not getting chance to take it easy. You know my no if you need to call for a chat.
Chicken portions in the oven with new pots, garlic and lemon, drizzled with olive oil. The smell of garlic is wafting beautifully through the house.
Downstairs is looking much better thanks to a good fly session earlier - and another treatment for the case studies is out of the way..... just got to write it up now.
Right, lo wants me to try and get a splinter out for him.
Love to all,

Have a great day!!Proud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0 -
Hi everyone
Not having a good day here. Feeling a bit carp and just want to hide under the duvet (which I've done A LOT of this past couple of days) I'm sure this is to be expected.
However, this aft I did go and view 3 houses then came home and decided to crack on. WM and TD pressed into action and ironing all done and put away. Then decided to fill the car to the gunnels and take to the recycling centre - this is Mr TM's car as he took mine as it was the one booked on the ferry) 2 miles down the road I thing I can hear noises, 1/2 mile further I can smell things and 1/2 mile later I limp into the recycling place with smoke pouring from everywhere. Exit TM from car VERY fast, leaving it stranded in the middle of the car park! Turns out that something called the idler wheel had seized, which in turn had eventually shredded the serpentine belt (like a huge fan belt) which had sent lots of bits into every corner - which were on fire  Luckily the tip is next to a garage so they rescued me (thanks NOT a lot, AA) and they are repairing it. £190 but I was expecting about £500 as it's a Saab!! They even gave me a lift home
So, I am eating chips for tea, with lots of vinegar and bread and butter (and chicken and veg too) and I shall veg in front of the telly. Boys are on the ferry as I type but the sea is rough and they are delayed - will be home between 9-10pm
Sorry I haven't had time to catch up on today's thread - I will do later if I get chance.
Love
TM xxx0 -
((((Hugs)))) TM, I'm sure the car will be OK soon and the boys safely home. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day
Were any of the houses any good?
