Hello Everyone,
I'm still in bed with flu - 7 days now. Now DD3 has gone down with it. She's got a temperature and can't keep anything down. I feel terrible physically because of the flu and mentally because I've given my germs to my baby girl. I've called the doctors and have asked for a home visit. Amazingly they didn't even question it. Normally I have to jump through hoops to get a routine appointment!
Anyway if I wasn't poorly I wouldn't have discovered this lovely board and thread, you all really care about each other.:A
Now I've found you I will make sure I keep popping in.
I'm trying to find out how to get a bus from our little town to the cinema in the big town and it's proving to be more difficult than climbing Everest. My big uns are so bored and have been so good looking after me I want to give them a treat. I think I'll have to pay for a taxi - not very moneysaving!0 -
Morning all,
Am feeling a bit more positive today, managed to make it to Coventry and back... although we lost 4-3 it's only the first leg and we'll easily pull that back when we play at home (she hopes...) We played really well though and I was very proud of my boys
Today I'm going to get moving a bit and get some housework done as the place is very messy!! I have a load of paperwork to file, clean washing to put away, need to make a pie filling for tea, and tackle my bedroom floor as it is absolutely despicable   And then I have work until 9 tonight
I just really cannot be bothered with this job anymore - I would kill for a 9-5 mon-fri thing as my social life is near enough non-existent and OH and I spend very little time together
Anyway, enough of the moan!!
Welcome Back Gingham and James Fraser
Please rest hun, or you'll be no use to anyone, never mind little James!!
And :grouphug: to anyone in need of one this morning.
Have a good day all xxx0 -

Bargain Rzl, have you seen this site: http://www.safersouthwark.org.uk/Category.asp?cat=641. Might be worth a look for an idea of where to start.
Good for you for wanting to get involved, I am sure there are things you can do to help those working improve the situation even if it is not face-to-face work with the young people involved. That man is richest whose pleasures are cheapest. Henry David Thoreau0 -
Morning all!
I am so tired today!
Cooked a nice meal last night but then crashed out afterwards! Oops! I'd been up since 7am so was shattered!
Still having probs with the DW, will be calling customer services soon, when OH gets in from work as I am awful on phones at the moment.
Today I'll be cleaning and have an MS assignment to do too, only a few mins walk from my flat so that's ok! Need to take things slowly as I don't want to make myself ill this side of half term!
Congrats to Gingham Ribbon on your wonderful new addition to your family!
((hugs)) to those who need them!
xx

Morning all, hope you are all warm well and happy today. DH seems to be getting worse has huge swollen glands and is feling VERY sorry for himself. We both slept really badly and he was down making a drink at 3.40 this morning. Got my freecycle trolley in place its really good. And we managed to help a couple of folks that wanted stuff so I feel ok about that. I have only just joined freecycle and it still seems strange that people actully give stuff away. Congratulations to GR please rest hun. Cattie hope you do get some rest tomorrow. Hugs and love to everybody. Cats all ok in and warm. Right off to be sally sunshine(yeah right!)and cheer up my DH. Not really anything significant to say, just wanted to add my congrats to Gingham Ribbon on the birth of baby James.
OH wants fish pie for tea tonight - he's still feeling under the weather so wants some "proper comfort food", so I'm going to pop down to Morrisons in a bit for some fish to go in it. Might splash out on a pack of prawns too
Have a lovely day everyone0 -

Morning guys :j
I haven't been posting on here as regularly as I used to, for a couple of reasons..... the main one being my head is in a funny place at the mo, and am considering seeking help - but not sure just yet
, the second reason is since my DD turned 8, I can't seem to shift her off the puter :rotfl: Anyway, I have been reading regularly, I just don't really know what to say
((((hugs)))) to Ticklemouse
Congratulations to Gingham Ribbon
I'm at work at the mo, trying to do the accounts but my mind keeps drifting away (tut tut), tea tonight was giong to be beef stew, but I forgot to assemble and put on the SC this morning, so I'm thinking sausage and onion plait, with mash and baked beans.
Have a great day everyoneSquares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0
