I got mine in a couple of days in a pretty little bag. Have to say Ive not ventured into trying it out yet, mainly cos Ive managed to get conjunctivitis so dont really want to fiddle with new make up til thats sorted.

Well I got my EB samples. I like the colour Sunshine best. The only problem I have with it (No itching yay!!) is that I cant seem to get much coverage. I've got a kabuki brush but I seem to need to use loads and loads of it to get the coverage I like. Then it looks unnatural and goes shiny. I'll keep trying. But if any of you have any tips on how to get a bit more coverage on the areas that need it I'd be grateful :)

Go very very light with it. Leave it for a bit or so. Any brush more on if need be - later...

You need to apply it, fluff it about a bit and then look a bit later, ten mins or so, if you keep adding it, around about the same time, you will over apply it and it can look caked and heavy. I wasn't keen on the kabuki brushes but that is personal taste.

Try doing what Veronarona suggests, don't look whilst you apply it - and don't forget to knock off any surplus on the brush first. Gentle couple of taps will do.

I found the more I tried and mucked about - the worse it was and I put on far too much!

You'll get the knack that suits you and you will never ever look back!

Does sound like you are applying too much.

Jeannie is right, dont put too much on at first - leave it to work on your skin for 10 -15 mins before looking again and applying more if needed. To give you an idea of how much you need - one of those sample vials will last me weeks.

But then you do have experience of mineral make up so you do know how to apply - perhaps EB isnt the one for you

I started with Bare essentuals as they were in my local Debenhams and I really wanted to try before I buy! I bought there starter kit, have used one foundation, still have the darker foundation left over.

I've now got some samples from Elemental Beauty (after reading JeannieBlues recomendation, she should be on commission).

I must say, the Elemental Beauty foundation seems to cover far better and I do prefer it.

I love the Elemental Beauty website, when I order my full size foundation I can feel I'm going to go mad and order allsorts!

I'm not on commission............. but I am grateful after all these years to find, like you, something that suits!

I work in a garage......... although an office worker, allegedly ( ), I find myself out in the workshop alot - and the elements and fumes are not great and have aggravated my skin which was neurotic any way! EB is the only foundation (for want of a better word), has been the only thing that has worked for me.

If you hacked back thru this thread or others similar, you will learn that my skin was horrendous and I had break outs and spots that were weeping - it was all rather unpleasant.........

A combination of finding MMu that suits plus moisturiser and the calming allantoin rich comfrey that I apply at night, seems to be my personal 'cure'!!

I did read alot of your posts Jeannie, I was interested to read about the healing foundation.

I'm 36 and have a face I describe as 'peppered' with blackheads and get a few pustular spots per month, which leave red scars that take months to fade. All this leaves me with pale/red uneven skin.

So I'm giving the healing foundation a go, but TBH even if it doesn't help improve my skin up I think I'll stick with it (so long as it doesn't get worse) as I love the cover and the website, packageing and presentation is so beutiful! Nicola at Elemental Beauty is very helpful and replies very promptly to emails.

I'm also (as a result of this forum) trying the oil cleansing method and so far I'm very pleased with the results!

    So thank you Jeannie!

Im sure that with the OCM and the mineral foundation you will notice a big difference in your skin - I certainly have. Like you I was pagued with blackheads and uneven skin. On top of that ad roseacea and seb derm - you wouldnt want to have met me on a dark night for sure:rotfl::rotfl:But now I often go out without make up on as my skin has improved so much

I also find a light exfoliate a few times a week really helps. I like the Tesco natural range one - with lots of water - doesnt scratch at all

I must admit, after two days of the OCM I've noticed an amazing improvement in my skin, though I'm aware that it may now get worse before it gets permenantly better.

What I've done is, I started with a strong mix of castor oil/olive oil to do a deep clean on the first day, then I've swopped to a much more dilute mix for every day use.

I'm amazed how well it cleans the make up off, and most of my blackheads have disappeared.
