  • I use the lid of the too-yellow No7 mineral foundation I bought for my swirling. :)

I think this is the youtube link that was posted - it's pretty helpful:

You know, the writing on the little bottles is so small, I cant read it :) Im going to have to get a magnifying glass I think. Ive put a bit on the back of my hands and at the moment it looks very powdery. I guess Im not doing it right.

    Guess you arent :(

You need to tip a tiny amount into a bowel or lid or similier - I use a ceramic tea bag dish. Then work the mineral into you brush by swirling around and then tap off any excess. If I told you on of those samples done me a good 4 - 6 weeks you get an idea of how little you need. I love the sample sizes as its so easy to tip out just a few minerals at a time - I make a right hash with the big jars.

It doesn't bear thinking about

But yes, it's very easy to use too much. To reiterate something I've probably said pages ago, you put on the teeniest amount, do a couple or three layers, but you may think it's having no effect... then go away and do something else for an hour, when you look again in the mirror you will appreciate how unblemished and natural your face looks - I hope :T

  • I can't remember if I've posted this before, but this American lady has an MMU blog and will send weekly/monthly??? newsletter if you sign up. It's nothing spectacular, but she goes to a lot of trouble so I like to support her, and there are loads of links and info on her home page to keep a newbie going for a while:

Veronarona - I kinda slap it on all haphazardish.... which actually works out better for me than when in the beginning I was really trying to hard and applying far too much.

I don't check it after an hour as I am at work by then, but I find a one coat quick brush and swirly bit does me - and may do another quick bit before I go to work. My technique is cr*p but works for me! Weekends are better .. :D

You were so helpful to me - what, must be nearly a year ago now! I learnt alot - and learnt importantly about 'pure' minerals. My skin is best its ever been, well was, past week I've got some blasted spots, but have been low with flu (lady flu, not man flu as in cold), so guess it is expected. BUT, they are not aggravated by MMU - whereas previous sloppy liquidy stuff would've blocked my pores and aggravated the spots!

    Thanks for all the help!!

I don't mean every blerdy time, duh :p Just as an exercise when "familiarising".

How many times have I said you don't even need a mirror for the foundation?

Now don't cross me, Jeannie, my electronic cigs are playing up, I've received some faulty components, it's the end of the world :(

Suki was saying about her e-cigs.... Is that the Nicorette inhalor one I keep seeing on TV or something a tad better??? Guy at work failed dramatically with the inhalor...... :o

Don't get in a strop now - and I barely look in the mirror when applying, as I hate the fact that I look older than my mental age of 16 .. :D

Did you see in the paper that lovely old lady that had just got her 100th birthday card from the Queen? When asked the secret to old age, she replied, cigarettes and whiskey for 'elevenses'!! She said that many people had told her to pack up smoking but she just told them to 'sod off'!!

    Sorry that you are suffering.........
