I just got this Boots No7 Hydro Quench Pore Refining Serum for visible pores ;) (STOP calling them large Tinkerbell, it sounds awful :o :rotfl: ).

    http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&productId=36082&callingViewName=&langId=-1&catalogId=10551

I really liked the Boots No7 Protect & Perfect Beauty Serum(not sure if it was the product or the hype :o  ) I applied it over the Liz toner, under the Liz moisturizer.

I expected this stuff to be the same, BUT it says apply to clean moisturized skin

    ????

I thought ALL serums went UNDER moisturizers???

    :confused::confused::confused:

not all, no. I'd guess by the name that it helps your skin absorb the moisturiser and needs to be on top.

i have a huge bottle of the hype serum - never use it though.
  • Thanks, will start by getting a better moisturiser I think. Off to look at the Liz Earle site now!

And lightly dust on the minerals. You can add more later if need be. Leave for ten minutes before you look in the mirror again! I am repeating the advice given to me - which proved to be good!

    Hi all,

Just to say that E.L.F (Eyes, Lips and Face) have just launched a new mineral cosmetics range - advertised as being 100% pure minerals. You may have seen them on various TV programmes like GMTV, Lorraine Kelly etc. where the big selling point was that every item is just £1.50.

Individual foundations are £3.50, as are concealers and 'mineral booster' which sounds like a finishing powder. eye-shadows are £2.50, bronzers £5. They also do starter kits from £15.

The one thing I noticed though is that the foundations etc. are in fairly small pots - just 3.4g compared to Elemental Beauty's 9-10g, although obviously you can't tell this just by looking at the photos.

The big plus though is a Kabuki face brush for just £3.50 or a larger Kabuki body brush for £5. If these brushes are as good as their ordinary eye shadow brushes - which are £1.50 then they will be a bargain.
Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever :D

At last I finally got around to ordering full sized products from EB and I just have to praise Nicola for the very very fast dispatch (ordered Sunday - arrived this morning) and what fantastic packaging. I thought it was my birthday :)

Shows how little of this foundation is needed. I ordered samples way back in March and of the three I was most taken with and used regular - well Ive still not used them all up - still have a few weeks wear left.

Just noticed this full size has a 18 month use by date on it - there is no way I will use all this in 18 months, I hope thats just a legal requirement - Im still using a BE bronzer thats 4/5 years old :)

Talking of bronzer my favs have to be the meow ones - really wonderful colour range and Im still using samples from there as well

So once again thanks Shays mum for the recommendation of this fantastic product

hi, was thinking about trying bare escentuals and thought i'd look on here about it first. i wish i hadn't now as i am not sure to go for one of the others. Also has anyone heard or tried a brand called young blood. apparently it was used on the tv prog. 10 years younger, have had a look throught most of the thread but haven't found anything. I dont think i will try this one as my daughter said it is quite "shiny" and i would prefer a matt.(she had a tester pack from a salon)
I think i will look around and maybe order samples first. I have never used a foundation or such before as i never liked the look or feel but as time goes on, a little help is now needed.

I started using BE as they had a little kit that had in it everything you needed - and you can get the SA to show you what to do with it all on the counter, find the right shade etc. Once that ran out I had a bit more confidence so went for elemental beauty stuff - where the cost is a lot cheaper. I slightly prefer BE in terms of product quality but not enough for me to pay the significant price gap between the two.
