I cannot believe Pudingpies EB make-up arrived after 1 day! I've ordered mine on Thursday and it still haven't arrived. And I am waiting for it every day. If it's not at home when I get there tonight I am calling them up.
Also I browsed for Southern Magnolia Minerals someone mentioned before and they have great offers on at the moment. I think I will order from them. 16pcs kit which includes 6 brushes for $27!! But I might go for the 20 pcs kit for $35, alo including brushes. That is very good deal. Is it as good as Lilylolo and EB? The same good quality?
    Thank you

I was using Southern Magnolia Minerals and swore by them! But then they changed the medium colour I used and I am so forgetful I would only realise I needed more makeup when I had just about run out and they would take a bit to come some times. I have found Elemental Beauty which is as close to the quality of Southern Magnolia Minerals and is in the UK. I still love my SMM but am just looking for something nearer to home as I am such a scatter brain! :rotfl:

Just thought i'd throw my 10pence in...

My mum recently converted me to mineral make-up and i love it!! I currently use Jerome Alexander Italian Mineral Marble & their Blusher. I've had comments such as i look healthier, my make up looks more natural and that it lasts for most of the day. I tend to touch my face alot, but yet, it's still there at the end of the day! I don't find it itchy or too over the top or as if i've caked myself in make up, it's just perfect.

I always, without fail apply a tinted moisturiser before i apply my make up, i find this helps my make up 'stick' better and last alot longer. I've read in the thread that people find that mineral make-up dries their skin and makes it itchy, try applying a light moisturiser before application.

Thanks ladies. I've read more of the thread now and it looks as if I need to read the ingredients, e.g. that it doesn't contain talc. Will go back and have another look although I expect the non high street ones are more expensive so might try Maybelline or L'Oreal first to see how I get on with them.

    So untrue

The premium brands of minerals are so pure and full of pigment you use the smallest amount imaginable so although the initial outlay could be frightening at first - you just wont be buying monthly - or even yearly when you look at blushes and eyeshadows/eyeliners etc

My BE foundations will last a year or more. I use two colours and usually buy off EBAY USA for a few pounds. My EB samples lasted around 2/3 weeks each (55peach)

Not true. I just ordered kit from Amerika - Southern Magnolia minerals for £35 incl p&p and there is loads of stuff in the kit - foundation, mineral veil, finishing powder, 2 types of concealer, eye shadows, blusher and 6 different brushes.
I would like to see where you get all that for that price in England.
    :o

Great, thank you. I took the plunge last night and ordered the whole kit for $44.95, cannot wait for them to arrive. I hope I ordered correct shade - I ordered Medium, but with EB I am probably Blush, so I hope it will be fine. They promise to keep sending you more minerals to mix it until you find your match, but as you say it takes while to arrive from Amerika... I just cannot wait for it to arrive! Fortunately have some EB samples to use :j until then..

I am just thinking about trying mineral foundation and have been looking on the shelves. I've got very fair skin and the Maybelline lightest tone looks as if it might blend best.

Has anyone tried the Maybelline please? (Sorry if this has been covered before - haven't had time to read the whole thread.)

    TIA

I'm another Elemental Beauty fan as it doesn't contain bismuth oxychloride or talc and I'm going to order the eyeshadow kit next :T.

Hmm..have been using my Elemental Beauty samples and have to say I prefer Everday Minerals. EM seems to give a more natural coverage and sinks in nicely into my skin. EB seems to just sit on my face and doesn't look natural.

I guess different products suit different people and my skin prefers EM.

I've been looking at their eye shadow kit too - will probably order at the weekend when I have more time to look through all the shades. Am interested in the eye liner approach too.. dpes it last etc?
