I've been on their websites and they want $2.50 for samples now:-( That is the most expensive of all the makes mentioned here.. I'll try EB as well as Lilylolo and if they fail, then I order some EM.;)

It' a shame that they've started charging for samples. I've found their mineral foundation good, and quite a few colours suit my skin tone.

After seeing so many positive reviews about EB, I decided to try them out. Ordered Barley, Honey and Sunshine, and surprisingly, although my skin tone is yellow based, I've found that Barley looks best on my skin. The other two are too yellow. Also bought their Sunkissed bronzer and love the colour. Works well as a summer blusher

I've also ordered the same - Honey, Sunshine and Blush. Still waiting for it to arrive. Which shade were you using from EM? It sounds like we have similar skin tone. I had Popsicle from Lilylolo and that suited me well.

I have quite a few from Everyday Minerals (i ordered 2 lots of samples and you get 3 colours with each lot), but the one I'm using at the moment is Sunkissed Fair which seems to blend quite nicely into my skin. I have about 2 applications left in my sample. If you want to PM me an address to send them too, I'm more than happy to send you what's left. (don't worry if you don't want to - I'm not a weirdo but you have no idea who you're talking to in chatrooms:) ) It's clean as I don't use the lid to swirl my brush in - the lid is too small.

Will go home and check what other shades I've tried and let you know.

I am just thinking about trying mineral foundation and have been looking on the shelves. I've got very fair skin and the Maybelline lightest tone looks as if it might blend best.

Has anyone tried the Maybelline please? (Sorry if this has been covered before - haven't had time to read the whole thread.)

    TIA

Thank you very much for the offer, but it won't be necessary as my samples finaly arrived yesterday. Unfortunately I didn't try them on this morning as planned, as I put somewhere my brush yesterday and I couldn't find it this morning! However, by just putting samples close to my face on day light in front of a mirror, the Sunshine and Honey seem extremely yellow, where the Blush seems to be good shade for my skin. I think I am just going to take the plunge and order Starter kit from Southern Magnolia minerals in Medium tone... They promise to send you more minerals to lighten-darken your make-up if the shade won't fit.:T

Just my vague opinion from what I have picked up from others... the high street brands are not pure minerals, allegedly (got to cover myself!)

I'm sure an expert will be along soon... :D

I'm not anti Maybelline - I think they do the best mascara's ever!

Thanks ladies. I've read more of the thread now and it looks as if I need to read the ingredients, e.g. that it doesn't contain talc. Will go back and have another look although I expect the non high street ones are more expensive so might try Maybelline or L'Oreal first to see how I get on with them.

That is not necessarily so. Although the pure minerals may seem pricey - they last for ages. And the benefits to your skin is priceless.

Do some research. My 'little' jars from EB have lasted ages and ages. I've only bought two lots before and after tan :D and that was months ago and still have at least half a pot of each to mix and match as tan fades...

Pure minerals goes a long long way. Don't know about the high street stuff or what they contain... although talc is mentioned on previous threads, which I understand is not good, clogs skin and defeats the object of using mineral make up - ie, could sleep in it and it won't clog or harm your skin.
