NATURAL !!!!!! is that:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
I have been thinking of using this for a while and finally got some today. I got the Collection 2000 one, saw it on offer in Tesco (2 items for £6). I've tried it out and it feels lovely on my skin. I have tried heavier foundation before but as I'm only 20 with the occasional spot/imperfection I don't like to over clog my skin...I prefer a more natural look. I have to say so far this powder is great and what a bargain?! Got the mineral powder and a bronzing palette for £6...must be my lucky day!!:D
I'm still concerned about the high street products - I don't think that their make ups are pure minerals. At your age in particular, pure would be better - but they do cost more, sorry.
We need some experts - Veronarona for one - to correct me, she knows such alot alot about mineral make up, and which ones are pure and which ones are not.
None of us want to clog our skins, regardless of age, I'm just a tad over 20 (opportunity here for you MrsE), and if you wear pure mineral - it is not the end of the world if you fall asleep and wake up next morning without removing it, because it won't hurt your skin like all the other stuff!Genie

I won't budge from BE. All the cheaper ones I've seen on the high street have talc and all sorts in them
Just got a delivery from HQHair - only ordered last night. I bought a great kit in the states last october and am only just running out of foundation from it. it comes with brushes too. just got 2 more kits, so that's lots of brushes and about 18-20 months worth of BE for less than £90!:A MSE's turbo-charged CurlyWurlyGirly:AThinks Naughty Things Too Much Clique Member No 3, 4 & 5

£90 sounds a bit scary....
My pots are still nearly full - can't remember when I bought them, but it seems to last forever! You just don't need to use that much - takes a bit of getting used, but worth the patience..Genie

Errrr, thanks. Been using them for years so I know how to use it!
It's about half as much as my mascara costs:A MSE's turbo-charged CurlyWurlyGirly:AThinks Naughty Things Too Much Clique Member No 3, 4 & 5

Who makes the comfrey ointment please? This sounds like a really useful item to buy.
A handy website to visit is www.beautypaedia.com home of Paula Begoun a.k.a. 'The Cosmetics Cop'. There's a whole chapter in her book 'Dont Go To The Cosmetics Counter Without Me' on mineral make-up that's really informative, detailing the properties of all the ingredients and pointing out that talc isn't necessarily the enemy and can be quite useful.
I have noticed this past week, that my skin has tried to flare up and sort of has (lots of stress etc). I take my make up off (usually with Johnsons baby wipes!) and I rub in, gently, the comfrey - and it has calmed it down and the immiment spot/and or spots/rash, seems to fade and they go...
The real test will come over the winter months - my first mineral make up winter - and my skin is usually bad over the winter - so the comfrey will be put to the test!Genie

The comfrey that I have found is rich in Allantoin - which apparently as a natural protection barrier.
There is a thread - headed Miss Marple-Allantoin - (or similar) - there is a lot of info on there about it. Comfrey is good for lots of things, bruises and all sorts.Genie

I wasted a lot of money trying things that ended up being unsuitable for me, fortunately I passed all my 'mistakes' on to my sister who gets on well with them. She has less sensitive skin.
As much as I would love to spend alot on make up, I can't afford it - even tho I work my socks off!!
I'm not really experienced enough to guide them tho. So your help would be most welcome. alot of the time I'm repeating what has been told to me! Veronarona is never around when you want her!Genie
