Trust me, I know where you are coming from :o

Just want you to get as pure as possible - especially with winter coming up - as I know that my skin worsens. In fact, have a mini minor breakout on chin today...

Mineral make up has turned out to be my saviour - along with some great people on this site that have alot of patience.... :o It took a while for me to get to being just happy with the mineral make up. My skin was awful, spots galore and ezcema too. Nice. Not :o

I seem to be winning at the moment but am reluctant to be too smug :D

Oh - and I must mention my specially rich in allantoin comfrey ointment which I apply regularly (at night) for its healing qualities! Reminds me, must order some more! EB has Allantoin in some of their mineral make up. Allantoin is a barrier.... - there is a thread somewhere about it... I've got to make my lunch for tomorrow now - but am sure you can find the thread if you want to!

Out of interest, what mineral make up do you use?

I've not done a 'link' thing before so bear with me it may not work!

Look what I found when I wasn't even looking for it....

    Blimey - I think 'she's' done it!!

I expect brownie points - or a house point - that's if it works.

Above - very high in Allantoin!!!

I was looking for Luffa complex - which I have ordered (hayfever) and found above, which I have also ordered.

YES!!! Found original post - as in above.

God I'm good. Well, I'm not, just a bit lucky really... :o

Its a bit firm when you first start to use it - in the sense of it feels hard in the jar - but it does soften more as time goes on, and can use too much... but not sure that is a bad thing!

I have just visited the site and ordered some :j. Thank you so much for this Genie - your Brownie Points are awarded :A:A:A:A:A:A,:T:T:T:T:T:T,.

  • Help! I have been using mineral make up for some time but find them really messy. I am keen to move onto pressed mineral but am not keen on Jane Iredale (also quite expensive). I have tried Pur Mineral through Ideal World which I liked but you can only buy it with other Pur Mineral products which I dont really need. Any thoughts.....?

    thanks

I've been using Elemental Beauty for quite a while now. I started off with Sheer Cover (aggravated me), then I tried Lily Lolo (made me itch). My sister has been using my 'cast offs' and been fine.

Think it is a case of finding what suits you. I was drawn to EB because I found that they had allantoin in the healing foundation or concealer. If I am honest, I wasn't keen on the concealer, couldn't get on with it. But I have had no trouble with the foundations - I've so far only used the healing ones, although Nicola sent me a sample of the other foundation, I've not tried it yet. When I was due to go on hols, I emailed Nicola and asked for a shade that could suit me when tanned.... based on what I was using, she recommended a shade, I gambled and ordered it. Perfect. 8/9 weeks on from my hols - I'm still looking golden and healthy ... :D

Their is a 'thread' that I started a while back re the allantoin. Think it is headed Miss Marple- Allantoin, or something silly like that - to be honest, I can't remember how I found out about allantoin now and its healing/barrier qualities. But I am grateful that I did!

    Hope I've been of help.

I've not read through and checked grammar and spelling - so hope post is ok - busy night...

I quite like mineral makeup as it has skin care benefits. I've tried Bare Essentuals and Loreal, both of which were pretty good! I've just odered a free sample pack from https://www.everydayminerals.com. Basically you get 3 foundation samples, 1 blush sample and 1 concealer sample. Their products get good reviews on YouTube so i've ordered a pack, will let you know how I get on with it! They ship internationally and you only pay for shipping, which was roughly £2.10!

This might be worth a try if you've never tried mineral make-up before, because Bare Essentuals etc can be quite expensive if you don't like it! lol

Can't wait for it to drop through my letterbox!!

I looked at the EB website on Jeannies recommendation.

I don't do mineral foundations, but I tried theres, I'm still not convinced, but I don't like them anyway.

BUT I ordered their powder concealer & mineral finishing powder & I love both. & the powder undereye concealer, I love that too.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I have been thinking of using this for a while and finally got some today. I got the Collection 2000 one, saw it on offer in Tesco (2 items for £6). I've tried it out and it feels lovely on my skin. I have tried heavier foundation before but as I'm only 20 with the occasional spot/imperfection I don't like to over clog my skin...I prefer a more natural look. I have to say so far this powder is great and what a bargain?! Got the mineral powder and a bronzing palette for £6...must be my lucky day!!:D

Trying to live a good life on little money :T
