The argument here isn't about WHO is to blame!!! It is about HOW the situation is dealt with.

Disagree the argument is about CSA law

I think these are very few and far between!

I don't think it is a case of young women/girls thinking that bringing up kids as a lone parent is wonderful.

They don't get past thinking baby = council house:rotfl:

Council houses are now really hard to get, they are mostly housing ascociations, They are often in the less desirable areas where the schools do not perform as well and where there are higher than average incidencies of anti social behaviour. Yes I know there are good council houses in quite good areas andf most of their residents are good decent people, but they are more likely to be victims of crime and antisocial behaviour. When I was left by my ex I had to wait nearly 2 years to get a council house ( with 3 children in over crowded conditions at my parents house).

Please don't make such sweeping statements Ben500, there may be a very small percentage of girls who are foolish enough to not think things through, but as I said earlier most lone parents are struggling to do a difficult job in difficult circumstances. I would imagine if you have not been in those circumstances you cannot understand.

Conmments like yours only make it harder for the rest of us, who are actually doing a good job.

Those who do this are rare and are in such a dire situation that they truely believe that life would be better if they had a baby and escaped. They need hope not condemnation.

Yeah it is hard to get a council house and in our area, housing association properties rarely come up. when they do the competition is fierce with several hundred people nominating the same property!. I have been on the waiting list for four years so last year I decided to buy as I was sick of paying huge rent on a crappy private rented house!!

Ben500. I am a single mother and I work and own my own house so you are talking a load of carp!

Could mean anything! Could mean that they think that those who do this are so stupid that they can't work out what they are doing, or it could be that they actually think it is funny that people do this? I don't know - people have different sense of humours and he/she may be having a laugh at something else!

I didn't say you did, but some people condemn these people as a matter of course!
